Lia nodded, a bit confused. She heard footsteps coming up to her and saw Jace walking up. "Hey, uh you guys should probably get ready to leave soon," he tells Lia.
Ella nodded and laughed. "Really."
(Unfortunately, I have to leave in a few minutes… ):
"I–" Griffin choked on his words. "There's something I need to tell you.", he whispered.

Ana nodded at Lia. "Good luck." She followed Eli, yawning again.
Ella looked up. "Anything."
Griffin squeeze his eyes shut. Just say it! “I wasn’t born a boy.”
Ella frowned. "I don't understand what you mean."
Griffin grimaced. “It’s like…I’m a boy mind born in a girl’s body who got illegal surgery so that my body is that of a boy’s. My face always looked boyish, and as I grew it got more so.” He averted his eyes, ashamed.

"You're trans?" Ella asked, astonished.
Griffin wouldn’t look her in the eye. “Just thought you should know so that you wouldn’t do anything you’d later regret. I understand if you want me to stop talking to you now.” He blinked the tears out of his eyes.
"Oh my god, Griffin, no. It's completely fine." She lay her head on his shoulder. "It's so fine. It's all good, thanks for telling me."

Griffin blinked, shocked. “You’re not mad?”, he whispered. It was too good to be true.
"Mad? Why would I be mad?"

Griffin’s whole face lit up. He rested his head on top of hers, squeezing her shoulders lovingly. “You just made my day.”, he whispered, feeling as if he could float from dizzy happiness. “Thank you.”

On their way to the 'bedroom', which was a room filled with a bunch of cots, Ana and Eli saw Griffin and Ella kissing. Ana pulled Eli behind the wall as he gasped. "Griffin and Ella?" He asked. She nodded. "Yes, but don't tell anyone yet." She pulled him back to the bedroom.
