City Streets (CLOSED 3/3)

Azami looked at the guy and nodded "I guess that means you guys need to leave?" She walked over to the kitchen and started packing a bundle of food and medicine, along with the knife that she threw at him.

Skye picked up his blades "Yeah. I do. But i don't need that." he said gesturing to the bundle she was making. "Just take care of letha and tell her not to worry." he said as he shifted and made his way out the door.

Azami ran outside after him and shouted "Like I said, not on the best of terms, she is not staying here!" she dropped the package outside the door and stormed back inside, coming out with Letha in her arms.

Skye shifted and whirled in surprise.. "I cant take her with me!" he said in shock. "She's injured and needs rest. I have to go rescue my brother before he gets killed.. I cannot take her with me!" he said in utter surprise… "Look I know you're not on the best of terms but she's safe with you. Leaving her with me could get her killed or worse!"

"Same here buddy," She growled and set Letha on the ground in front of the house before walking back inside casually and locking the door.

Skye rushed after her, seeing the door was locked he carefully scooped up letha and warped himself inside setting her back in her cot. (Warping is like a portal but short range and limited, ) Skye turned to Azami, "What problems do you have then? Cause if you wanted me to be specific my brother is being carted away by a cult full of nasty phsychos who have no heart or conscience. they will hurt him. and they will kill him for fun. I have to get him out of there before that happens!" he said frustratedly, "So i'd like to know why you would help her and save her life but not let her recover completely and get out of your hair?" he asked after he calmed himself down.

"That's for me to know, not you." She glared at him and picked Letha back up, setting her in front of the door carefully before walking back to her table and grabbing a sword from where it was buried under her medicines and potions. "Now, I will let you know, I am a much better fighter than Letha ever was, so I would suggest taking her and leaving." she held the sword carefully, ready to attack at any moment.

Skye drew his blades.. "im the best fighter you'll ever meet, Next to my brothers that is, but thats just cause we still need to figure out whos better"

"She. Is. Not. Staying." Azami stated and twirled her blade "If you win, I will just leave her outside until she wakes up, and I will let her figure out where you went." she smirked and looked at him "So, would you rather her wander off and never find you, or would you let her come with you and you just leave her somewhere safe until she wakes up?"

"I dont have a safe place for her.. I am a rogue, we met by chance. I owe her, a lot. But I also made promises to my family, To my brother, that as the oldest I'd protect them…. And If I dont go after him now, I might lose him forever." he shuddered half out of what the hunters might do to him, and half out of having to face his brother and sister back home, and partly because of the encroaching feeling of loneliness." He blinked back tears, "So I'm asking you warrior to warrior. Why would you throw her defenseless onto the street? What problems do you have that justify that? What came between you two that would justify that?" he asked in confusion. "I asked her if she knew anyone that could help, You were the first person to come to mind. Obviously she trusted you enough to recommend asking you to help a total stranger, and her and save her life!"

Azami sighed and shook her head "You don't understand. This fight that we got into was big, and it cost us both a lot. I made a promise to her after the fight that if she ever needed anything I would help her. Once. I would help her one time then she would leave, and we would never speak again." She gestured to him and to Letha "I fulfilled my promise, she will understand that because she sacrificed her one chance to talk to me for you. And she would not be defenseless, she is brilliant when it comes to surviving, and bartering, and fixing things, how do you think she survived that long in the city, and how did she get her job?" She glared at him "Yes I know she was in the city,"

"That isn't how you treat friends." he said insistently, "What were you fighting about that would be that bad anyway? I mean, I get the feeling you're a hot-head, And no offense intended, but I Think you should give her the chance to make up for whatever happened between you."

"Ask her, ask her about the fight that ruined our friendship, that ruined our 'siblings' friendship." (Azami doesn't have any siblings, she's talking about basically a foster family that Letha and her were both part of) She tossed her sword back on the table and stood with her arms crossed "Ask her when she wakes up."

Siblings? Fight? Skye wondered to himself, then he took a step forward, and placed a hand on Azami's shoulder, pulling her into the Void. "fights like this?" he showed her a memory of him and his old pal marco and the other street kids he used to hang with. it was a huge fight and he'd been kicked out onto the street, away from the others.

"Partly, it started like that…and then it just escalated" Azami nodded "We were older, maybe early teenage years.."

Skye showed her another memory, of him spying on a couple of guys who were planning an attack. "those men were planning an attack on those kids I showed you," Then one more memory.. this time of Skye fighting to protect a couple of the kids from earilier, "I went back to warn them, I didn't expect any help, and i didnt get any, but I did almost die that night.. and i would have if the younger members, Not the ones i saved, bbut others who never liked me in the first place stepped up and saved my life…" he told her, "And not just my life… but the lives of a few other street kids who I had dragged into it. You just did the exact same thing for me and Letha, No questions, no protests, just action." He brought them back to the real world, "now what I don't understand is why you are letting an old argument keep you apart…" he said out loud.

"I told you, we were older, old enough to know what we were doing. Old enough to know that this fight wasn't like other fights, this one was going to rip friendships apart.." Azami sighed and shook her head "This fight….me and Letha…we didn't agree…we made a promise, that promise, and then it went from there. Did she tell you about her brother? He lives by the sea now, but they didn't agree. He sided against her and it tore her apart because they had been through everything together. She fought and then she left, every one of her friends siding against her. every. one. of. them." Azami said, tears in her eyes. "And I was one of them, she was basically famous among the street kids, for her bravery and loyalty. And we were too stupid to see that all she wanted to do was help and be accepted.."

"I'll Believe that.. I owe her my life, twice now…"he said "But i still don't understand… Why you would let a promise clearly made in the heat of anger… Keep you apart like this…"

"We didn't make the promise when we were mad…it was later at night, we had both wanted to be alone to think our decisions over…she told me that I was her best friend and that she didn't want to fight me, or her brother, but she wouldn't join us and we wouldn't join her, so we made this promise, as friends." Azami shook her head "She never breaks promises, never. Letha, in all of her loyal stubbornness, if she promises something that means she will fight and push and shove until she fills that promise."

"If you're best friends then why did you make a promise to stay away from each other?" he asked now more confused than ever… "And speaking of promises she sounds like my kid brother…"

"She doesn't break promises, and we made that promise so we wouldn't hurt each other, after the fight was over." Azami walked over to the cots and sat down on one of them, picking at a stray thread. "I asked her if she was sure about the promise and she said she would rather know that I was safe from her than have a great life with her brother and friends."

(Do you mind if I switch things up a bit? I mean with the hunter side of things? I just think it would be fun to bring in something else thats a bit worse…)

"It seems to me that that promise was a mis-" Skye gasped, as a wave of agony worse than the last one washed over him, and it wasnt from Sirus either…. he sent his mental shadow out to investigate, and saw his youngest brother alex losing in a fight against his worst enemy, and the enemy simultaneously taking out all the Hunters in the caravan that had Sirus locked up. He watched as Alex and Sirus were struck down and dragged off into a portal.. "No! Why?! Why must you always interfere?!"Skye yelled at the ceiling frustrated, "First Hunters & now him?!"

Azami looked up, concerned "What? What's wrong?" she saw Letha stir in the corner of her eye and she rushed over "Letha, how are you feeling?"
Letha groaned and rolled over "Like I was just hit by a bus.." She opened her eyes and slowly sat up "Well Skye, now that we are both patched up, you ready to go again?"

Skye turned to Letha "NO. You aren't coming this time. Things just got a million times worse and I am not gonna let you get hurt again because of my issues." he said as he frantically tried to think up a way to find both of his brothers and remembering that he should probably check that Blaze was alright too.. But first was getting back to wolf territories..

Letha stood up shakily "Fine, if you don't want me with, I'll just go on my own." she brushed away Azami and leaned against the door, sighing "Trust me, I made a promise to your brother Sirus, and I will not break it."

"Yeah, That was when we were dealing with hunters." Said Skye as he warped in front of her and blocked the door. "Now I'm dealing with something a million times worse and I have to rescue My other brother Alex as well as Sirus…" he said worriedly. "and I'm not going to have you get hurt again!"

"Skye, you don't control me." Letha said slowly, trying to not get angry "I can do what I want, and right now, I need to go take care of a promise."
Azami raised an eyebrow at him and smirked mouthing the words "I told you so" to him.

"I know that…" he said sighing.. "You know you are just as stubborn as Alex…." he muttered as he tried to figure out a way to get her to stay here. Failing he sighed, "Alright, Obviously I cant talk sense into you, so I will just bring you along instead, Cool? And btw we aren't going back to that fortress, this time we're headed for my home turf, Wolf Territories" he said giving in, "But on one condition, we arent leaving 'til you fix things with Azami… and you have to promise me you'll make things up with your old friends too." he said looking her in the eye.
