Levi twitched in the chair for a while before he approached the bed. He needed to sleep. He hadn't slept at all last night because his father was training him about being a good husband. He hadn't been following them so far. "Can I get in with you?" He gestured towards the bed with a hesitant look on his face.
Eerie looked down at the bed, after starting out of his stupor of thoughts. “Oh, I can get out if you need me to.” He really didn’t want Levi to force himself to sleep with him. That’d just be downright cruel.
The only thing that ever snapped Levi out of things like this was a warm body. It was a badly kept palace secret that Levi brought specific soldiers into his room and kept them there all night. Of course, Eerie was no trusted soldier. Still, nothing was worse than the nightmares he got after these. "Can you stay?"
Eerie blinked and laid back again, shrugging. “Sure. I don’t mind. Do you want to keep me here all night?” Eerie was a little put off my this, but not disturbed. He wasn’t expecting Levi, the supposed toughened soilder, to ask him to stay.
Levi raised a shoulder as if to say 'only if you want to'. He really would prefer to stay with Eerie all night. but that would be the weakness to end al weakness. He wasn't a baby and he didn't need someone to mother him. He rolled himself under the covers, tucking himself into the wall until his back was pressed against it.
Eerie curled up into the sheets. He took the slight shrug as a yes amd rested his head on the pillow with a gentle sigh. He didn’t find himself to be the wamrest human being to sleep with, let alone be around. His hands were always cold, he shivered violently in winter. Now was one of those times, since the rooms were below deck, therefore making the room cold with the water’s temperature. He started to shiver, even under the thick blankets, the cold nipping at his bones.
Levi felt feverish. Tired. He wanted someone to hold him and pet him and tell him that everything would be alright. That was dumb. He was being dumb. Not a baby. And he shouldn't take gentleness either. He didn't deserve it. But maybe holding someone's hand would be okay? Yeah. People did that all the time. He reached out to grab Eerie's hand, gasping slightly at how cold it was. Was this boy, a snowman?
Eerie felt groggy and slow. Shivering slowed him down, made him feel exponentially tired than usual. Levi’s hand came like a warm fire in the cold Alaskan. He squeezed it, trying to warm his shivering self, but of course, they were merely holding hands. Not holding each other close.

Levi noticed Eerie shivering and figured that it wouldn't be too weird for him to drape his free hand over his shoulder. He could pretend to…. well, he didn't have a plan, but he needed this. Even as he hated himself for it, he pulled Eerie closer. "Is this okay?"

Eerie rose his head a little. “I’m fine, don’t worry.” He shuffled back slightly. He had noticed how stiff Levi’s arm was on his shoulders. Eerie didn’t want Levi to be uncomfortable because he was shivering. True, he was literally shaking head to toe he was so cold, but soon the small body heat that he had would warm up his side of the bed. Though he couldn’t admit to himself that this wasn’t true; whenever he woke up in mornings, the bed was always a simmered lukewarm, rather than the cozu warmth he grew to understand, or felt from Levi.
Eerie was cold, but he was shivering so hard he was unmistakably alive. He needed to hold something that was alive. Since Eerie didn't seem to mind, Levi pulled Eerie a little color. And a little closer. And a little closer. Until they were both spooning with Levi's chest crushed into Eerie's back. "Is this okay?" He whispered again, pulling his husband even further into his arms. This was way too nice.
Eerie’s shivering died out somewhat and he gave a tiny nod. “This… this is fine.” He rested his head into the crook of Levi’s neck. It was so warm there, he could feel it heating up his hair. Perhaps it was for another reason, but he felt comfortable, and not at all embarrased to be like that. To have their legs entwined and curled up in a ball of spooning didn’t embarrass him either. Confused him, most definitely, but they were married. The difference was Eeire was genuinely enjoying himself, curled up into his husband.
Levi was blushing so hotly you could probably fry an egg on his cheeks. This was… decidedly different from holding his friends. When he laid with his soldiers, there was a mutual understanding that this wouldn't be talked about. That this was a secret. With Eerie there was no such silent contract. "Can we… not… talk about this. Tomorrow."
Eerie felt his face warm up a little. “Of course. Of course…” He didn’t just want to shoulder off this moment, though. It felt like something more. More than just a forced relationship. Of course, Eerie might be feeling this way because Levi is warmer than any heating pad he stuck under his sheets.
Levi…liked this. This was comfortable. It was weird too because he'd never really gotten attached to… to anyone. And he didn't hate Eerie. Sure, he though Eerie was a little soft. And fanciful. And had skewed ideals. But he was also nice. And very comfortable to cuddle. "Thank you"
Eerie relaxed into Levi, his legs relaxing into Levi’s. He didn’t care about how uncomfortably close they were anymore. If this is what their marrige would be like at night, so be it. It’d be worth every little hour of the night. He’d still be cold when he takes naps and such, but nights like this would (once again) be so worth it.
Levi rested his chin on Eerie's head. "This won't be a… a nightly thing. You don't need to worry about me doing this again." He wished he could. He didn't deserve this though. Asking again, over and over, would be reprehensible. There was no need for him to annoy his husband and prove that he was a liability.
Eerie bit his lip a little, curling up closer to Levi. “I… I don’t mind if it is. This is really nice.” He immediately regretted saying his opinion of the matter, but he couldn't take it back. He had said it pretty loud, too. He just had to tense up and wait for Lvi to push him away again.
Levi stiffened and then forced himself to relax. Eerie was letting himself be cuddled, so Levi had to be a comfortable person to cuddle with. He had to do everything he could to make things up to Eerie. Except… Eerie said he didn't mind this. He said he'd like to do this again. "If you want me to, I will." The words extended far beyond this bed. His father had told him to be a good soldier for Eerie, and he couldn't fail. He had to be good.
Eerie kneaded at Levi’s shirt a little, resting his head back into the crook of his neck. “That… that would be nice. Thank you.” Eerie resisted the urge to apologize for his childishness. He didn’t think just because he was a little cold Levi should force himself to bring someone he hardly knew closer.
Levi yanked Eerie in, allowing his frozen husband ever closer. His blush hadn't receded much, still covering his face in a sickly pink flush. The mantra 'good soldier' gradually replaced the scenes of death running through his mind. He wanted to be held. He really wanted to be held. He couldn't ask. "Could… could you, uh, hold me? Like… hug… me?" Well, he did it. Time for God to reign punishment upon him.
Eerie gave a slight nod and wrapped his cold arms around Levi’s warm abdomen. He didn’t question it, or even care. Levi had said he’d hold him like this for every night. At least he wouldn’t have any more cold nights by himself. Everything has their pluses…
"Oh." Levi shuffled around so he could lay more comfortably with Eerie's arms around him. This was… wonderful. Perfect. He wanted to do this all the time. Forever. Once his mouth caught up with his brain, he mumbled a brief "Thank you" into Eerie's shoulder. Eerie was so soft. So comfortable. Levi could stay like this forever. But he wouldn't.
Eerie rose his head out of Levi’s chest and leaned his head onto the latter’s head. His hair tickled his ear somewhat, giving him a gentle sensation of giddiness. He felt his eyes drooping, meanwhile, though. He was ready to shut down and sleep like this forever.
Levi snuggled into Eerie's arms, half warmed from his sickly body heat. Levi did his best to fall asleep, eventually drifting into a troubled land of dreams. There was nothing too much worse than usual. He certainly wouldn't wake up screaming like he usually did after episodes.

Eerie had fallen into a deep stupor. He was truly getting a good night’a rest, with his body totally relaxed into Levi, his arms relaxed over the latter’s hips. His hair aas somewhat fuffy from his soft snores and his slight shiftings. He gave another soft snore, absolutely dead asleep.
