(ACK! SORRY!!!)
"Yeah, definitely!" Cye agreed.
Colorless Rainbow (closed feel free to stalk tho)
(No problem. I've had to stop myself from doing that multiple times.)
"What'd you get to eat or drink?" Sage asked.
"Uh… a greasy plastic cylinder with a cardboard bun, unhealthy processed potato, and a sugary liquid with ice," Cye said, indicating his hamburger, fries, and soft drink in turn.
Sage laughed. "I got Fries, chicken strips, and a milkshake."
"Hamburger, fries, and a soft drink," he corrected, "Wait, no, it's coffee…." he realized and slammed his head on the table, "I'm too tired for this."
"Being tried sucks." Sage commented.
"No, really? I thought being tired was great," Cye said through the table sarcastically.
Sage laughed slightly. "Did you know that Naps are great for curing tiredness?" She asked rhetorically.
"Unfortunately, working part-time and doing college at the same time doesn't allow for 'naps,'" Naoki groaned.
"That sucks. I feel bad for you. What college do you go to?"
"I forget the name, but it has online courses I take," Cye replied after turning his head to the side to breathe and talk better.
Sage nodded. "I do online for UAF. They have a great Tech program. And I work on and off." She said.
"I've heard they have a pretty good online program," Cye nodded.
"Yeah." Sage agreed.
Cye sat in awkward silence, "So, uh… beautiful sky today, huh?"
"I guess. I prefer sunrises or sunsets." She responded.
"Oh, right, not everyone sees blue," Cye's face started to burn, "I forget sometimes," he admitted and ate a french fry.
"You're fine." Sage opened the lid of her milkshake, she dipped a fry in it then ate it.
"So, I know this might be a little hard, but….. could you try describing the color red for me?" Cye asked.
“Sure, I’ll try.” She thought for a moment. “It’s generally used to represent two very different things. Love and Anger. Anger being a darker shade and love a lighter shade.” She tapped the seat. “This is red.”
"Oh," Cye nodded, trying to envision the color, but all he could see, as always, was blue, "Well, blue is a calming color," Cye started to try and explain to pay back Sage for trying to explain red for him, "The sky is blue, but you probably already knew that, and yeah," Cye shrugged, "I'm really bad at explaining things, sorry!" he smiled shyly.
Sage smiled sincerely "You're fine. Colors are hard to explain." She said
"True," Cye agreed.
"I guess we'll hopefully see for ourselves eventually." Sage said.
"Yeah," Cye sighed, "You know, sometimes I feel like just kissing everyone to see if they're my soulmate," he admitted, "It's probably pretty stupid, but oh well."
"I wouldn't blame you. I want to but It's hard for me to find love for people." Sage admitted.
"Yeah," Cye laughed, "Also, it'd be pretty awkward for the other person, especially if they weren't my soulmate, and there's a 99.9% chance they aren't."
Sage laughed a little. "It would be very awkward if that happened. But there's a 0.1% chance it's the right person. Sometimes you meet them and are totally oblivious to it." She said.
"Yeah, it might be worth the risk," Cye laughed, "But, oh well. I guess the day will come when it comes."
"Yeah." Sage ate one of her chicken strips.
