Phoebe’s eyes went wide. “Wait- how are you not dead?!”, she whispered frantically, rubbing her sore wrists and following quietly.

No one said anything outloud, but many of his classmates that were loyal to the council were whispering to each other in hushed voices. Micah looked nervously over at Amber and Victoria.

Amber noticed Micah's nervous glance. She tried to reassure him without saying anything (She didn't want to draw to much attention to herself). Instead of saying something she walked over and showed him her flute, a simple sign of trust

He nodded at Amber. Micah pulled out one of the gears from his pocket and showed her before putting it back so no one saw. "I make little gadgets. Clocks and stuff." He whispered as quietly as he could.
Victoria went behind Amber and kindly touched her shoulder then showed Micahs her drawings as a sign of trust and a offer of friendship.
Phoebe’s eyes went even wider. “You’ll have to teach me.”, she breathed. “I have two now. One more and they’ll come for me. She heard footsteps coming around the corner. “Quick.”, she hissed at Marco, yanking him inside an empty classroom. “In here.”

Micah smiled and nodded at Victoria as well. He looked around to make sure no one was listening in on them. "Okay," He started, wanting to talk to someone. "What just happened? He knows how much trouble he could get in, right?"
Forgetting that his pant leg was still rolled up, Marco enters the classroom.
Amber was thinking the same thing"I honestly don't know. I think he's gone completely insane!"
Phoebe crawled behind the teacher’s desk, motioning for him to do the same. “Roll down your pant leg. You don’t want any one to see your tallies.”, she whispered fiercely, looking around the room for something to defend herself with.

Micah shook his head again. "There's always one guy. He's going to get all of us in trouble! If someone walks in now, people will get suspicious. When people get suspicious, they get more observant. They'll find out about us. Oh no. I'll get my first tally. Then I'll get a second. Then a third…" He was doing that thing now. When he got nervous, his thoughts tended to spiral until he thought of the worst possible thing.
"Oh, thanks." Marco crouched down and pulled down his pant leg. He stands and sits back down.
"Nobody will notice us in all the commotion. This is the most excitement we've had in years!" Amber replied. She sounded more confident then she felt but she was an amazing actor and Micah would get them all caught if he didn't calm down.

Micah sighed. "Yeah that's true." He paused. "Do you think…we should go after him? Or at least go find Phoebe?"
They crouched behind the desk in silence as the footsteps passed by, Phoebe clutching her hairpin, it’s sharp point gleaming wickedly.
"Ya I think we should go find them,just to make sure they are ok" Victoria whispered to Micah and Amber

He nodded, releasing a breath he didn't know he was holding in. Micah stood up and walked towards the door, hoping no one would question why he was leaving.
"Are you seriously gonna try and stab an officer?" Marco whispers.
"No." Amber was sure about this. Under no circumstance could they look for Marco or save Phoebe. She wished they could but there was already too much chaos. They would have to wait and see. Maybe they could try to contact them though…That's it! She quickly asked Victoria for a drawing of Phoebe and when she was done, Amber dashed out of the classroom. Nobody but Micah and Victoria noticed.
“I’s rather stab them than have them brand me again.”, she shot back. “Got any better ideas, wise guy?”
