Ender sat up, staring off. He kept remembering little snippets of memories. He didn’t want to remember.
how the hell do I distract myself from this?…..what…..what makes it so I just….can’t think…….drugs, or alcohol, or sex…….but I have access to none of those…….unless….

Hiro sighed. “ a way I escape from my head it to go hunting. And we can get some alcohol when we go to town”
"Sure," the vixen answered, "though, I must ask, what are your powers? They must be quite trouble-causing if you're out here." Yarinaoshi explained to her and the vixen explained her powers to Yarinaoshi. This gave her an idea. "Come back with me to where I came from, I have I friend or two you could eat off of."
Ender didn’t react. He stared off, the memories consuming him. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to force the memories out of his head.

Hiro looked up, going over to ender and sitting in his lap. “ hey… What's going on ender” he said softly, trying to calm the boy. He put his hand on enders cheek and gave him a worried look.

Ender instinctively tensed up at his touch. He could almost hear the Bad Men telling him to relax, that it’d be over soon. That he’d get a reward for cooperating with them.
