At the age of 16 male and females are taken to a cave and sent in to bond with a crystal. Some bond very quickly, some bond in hours, some don’t bond at all. The rarest of all cases is binding with more than one crystal. These are known as the Master Mages. At the age of 18, once they have had some time learning about their powers, they are taken to a valley at the feet of the mountains and use their Crystals (or specific tools used to help with abilities) to call a Spirit Guide that helps them get stronger and more powerful. However not all Guides have the intention of helping you.
