She doesn't answer him, not looking at him either.

"Kerenza, please tell me what's bothering you,"He asked gently.

"I-It's nothing…" She was stuttering, another sign she was lying.

"Please?"He asked.

She looks up at him, her ocean blue eyes tear stained. "Y-y-you'd leave me…like everyone does…"

"No, I wouldn't. Not even in a million years," He said and kissed her forehead.

"T-trust m-me…y-you would leave me…everyone always leaves me…I'm always alone…"

"I won't leave you, Kerenza. Promise."

She doesn't answer, looking away from him.

"Kerenaza. Do you trust me?"

She nods gently, but still does not look at him.

"Then tell me what's bothering you," He asked her.

"B-but…you would leave me…"

"No, I wouldn't."

Kerenza leans into him, resting her head on his shoulder.

He hugged her,"Can you tell me, please?"

"Truth…or my thoughts…?" She whispers, quiet enough he almost doesn't hear.
