Okay, so this is obviously a Romance RP, but here's the basic plot that I really want to do!

A guy and a girl have been friends for a really long time, and they both have feelings for each other that they haven't acknowledged yet. After getting put in a few situations where they're treated as more than friends, they finally tell each other about their feelings.

We can start close to when that happens, or a bit further before. Whichever one seems best.

Brooke walked up to the door of Jessie's house and knocked. Her friend was having a party, and she had invited many of the people they had grown up together with. After a moment, she was greeted by the grinning face of a dark-haired Korean girl, who pulled her inside exclaiming, "Come in, come in! I'm so glad you could make it!"

"I'm glad I could make it, too," Brooke laughed as she was pulled inside. She looked around, seeing colorful streamers hanging from the ceiling, balloons randomly placed throughout the house, and she even spotted tables full of a million different kinds of party foods set up in the kitchen.

I wonder if Jacob's here, yet, she wondered, her eyes roaming the many guests who had already arrived, searching for her long-time friend.

"Is Jake here yet?" Brooke finally asked Jessie after not seeing him in the crowd.

Her friend nodded and replied, "Yeah, I think he was somewhere over by the kitchen when I last saw him."

"Great. Thanks," Brooke said, before making her way through the groups of people. She greeted everyone as she passed them, giving them all a small smile, but her true smile didn't show until she spotted Jacob. Her face lit up, and she waved a little to catch his attention.

Brooke laughed.

"Of course I came! Jessie was having a party, and we all know she throws the best ones!" she exclaimed.

Also, you're here, so that just makes it ten times better, she thought, causing a bit of color to creep up slowly to her cheeks.

"Hm… I'd say in about–" Brooke checked her watch for the time. "–two seconds."

She was right, and Jessie started almost as soon as she had finished speaking. First, she gathered everyone into the large living room and caught their attention. Then she thanked everyone for coming, saying she was glad they could all make it. And, finally, she told them the reason she was throwing the party.

After gesturing to someone in the crowd, she pulled a tall blond guy up to the front of the room with her. They both gave each other adorable smiles, then turned back to the crowd, still holding hands.

"As many of you should know," Jessie started, grinning widely, "Sam and I have been dating for over three years now. Just last month, he asked me a very important question." Here, she held up her left hand, and a ring glittered on her ring finger. "And I said 'yes'!"

Sam pulled her closer to his side, and together they exclaimed, "We're engaged!"

Brooke smiled as she watched the couple, who were so clearly in love. She shot a quick glance at Jake through the corner of her eye, then turned her attention back to her other friends to clap and cheer loudly.

As soon as the commotion had settled down, the couple declared that games would be starting soon. For now, though, everyone was welcome to mingle and eat.

Brooke turned to Jacob and smiled. "Have you eaten anything yet? Is there anything good?"

A light blush grew on Brooke's face when Jacob took her hand, but she mentally shook it off and followed him. They entered the kitchen, and she looked around at the piles of food that took up nearly every open space. Jessie and Sam had really outdone themselves this time!

"Wow…" she whispered, wide-eyed as she saw it all. "This is ridiculous! There's so much food!"
