Detailed Fantasy RP

Like a day or an hour?

Oh I could have it done in an hour or so. I'm about to be done with dinner so then I'll be able to focus more on that.

I was kind of just thinking a stereotypical medieval class system with the king/queen/ruler on top followed by nobles, then commoners, etc. Maybe the genders are more or less equal though so both men and women could rule/be the head of a family.

Alright! I'll make mine as fast as I can. As for gender/social roles, what were you thinking?

Would the royalty stuff be by magic bloodline? Would some families with certain magic be richer because they don't have the discriminated against magic?

Yeah I think that would make sense. Oh boy, that begs another question: are magical abilities learned or inherited? And if they're inherited, does your whole family have the same element/ability?

I think inherited would make sense, but not everyone would have the same. Think of genetics. Some families with more than one kid have one child that has a different eye or hair color than the others and the parent. This is because of the grandparents and other mixed relatives. I think it'd be like that.

So is there a particular form we should be filling out or should we just go for it? Is there anything else we need to discuss?

Just fill out whatever you need! I'd say leave the backstory for development, but at least have a clue of what their history was like.

Awww man I was excited to start this tonight aha :)

Haha yeah. Well, we could also try to come up with a plot or something too while we wait. Maybe something that causes our characters to go on a journey of some sort? It could happen after we roleplayed at the school for a while (because I'm assuming that's where they'll all meet?)
I'm also kinda glad I'll have more time to work on my guy. I've got my girl figured out, but not the guy

Ummmm maybe for an assignment they have to go in groups to a historical magic site or something to study a magic artifact and when they get there they realize it's either been stolen or they discover someone trying to steal it. And then maybe they take it upon themselves to try to get it back? It's a little out there, but that's what I've got right now.

I like the meeting for an assignment idea. What if two of them met in one class, got mad at each other, and then in the next class were forced to talk to each other because they were put in a group with the last person? My character would probably have to be the one that annoys the other (because I have an idea for that planned out lol). What if their assignment was, instead of study a magic artifact, to work a small a unit for a month on a series of new magical team attacks/defenses to show their professor? And then one day after they practiced for a while they get ambushed at the school?

Probably one or two, but I'd say don't do opposites. Don't do fire and water or dark and light, for example, cause then it's like oh?? How??? But yeah, one or two and then the runes for each type.

Description: Ivaline has wavy black hair that falls about to the middle of her back. Usually she wears it in a half-up style or braids it, particularly if she knows she'll be flying a lot. She has bright green eyes that are always taking in detail. She is slightly taller than average and has a slim figure. She relies on her magic in a fight, not her physical strength.
Personality: Ivaline is typically on the quieter side, but it’s not that she’s shy, she just likes observing and learning through listening to others talk. When she does start talking it can be hard to get her to shut up and she’s not afraid to voice her opinions (especially if she thinks she’s right). Sometimes that makes her come off as a know-it-all (and often times she does think she knows more than others). Generally Ivaline is very cautious when it comes to fighting or battles. She likes to make sure there is a well thought out plan or strategy, and that goes for anything, not just battle.
Wings: Her wings are primarily black but have dark grey feathers along the bottom. She has some of the black ones dyed a darker shade of green.
Magic: Energy Manipulation (both kinds we talked about)
Family/history: Ivaline comes from a middle-class family. Neither of her parent’s magic is as strong as hers. Her parents also didn’t really want her to go to the academy.
