Happy writing to you too!

I open the door to see Queen Meredith standing with a handful of confused visitors at either side of her. Just to tease them, I lean on one foot and give Meredith a scolding eye.
"Madame, not again! You know what happened to the last innocent people you tried to recruit." Meredith chuckles and waves me off, leading them into my house. I look them up and down with a smile and greet them.
"Hi, my name is Myst. Don't believe anything Meredith tells you about me. I'm actually wonderful person."
"Myst," Meredith interjects, with a tinge of 'Please Stop, This is Serious' in her voice. "How far have you gotten on the case?" Testing my limits, I fold my arms at the queen.
"Excuse me, I still haven't offered them drinks yet." I turn to the five and smile my satire smile. "Alright, you guys, are you old enough to drink? I can make a killer martini."
"Myst." Meredith snaps at me and I pretend to look ashamed as I quiet down.
"This is Kristine," Meredith points to the man with long black hair. "And this is Tara, James, Lee Ace, and Kam." Meredith points to the respective people as she introduced me. I stand up straight and formal and nod my head at them.
"Nice to meet you all." I begin. "I'm am the leader for the case of the terrorists."
Meredith interrupts me.
"They are not terrorists, they have not committed any mass crimes yet."
"Yet."
"Myst, please behave."
I sigh heavily and continue.
"I'm not too skilled at the field work alone, so I asked the queen to recruit some people that might be able to help me. That's basically it, I guess. Any of you game?"
I look over at them and eagerly await their response.

Tara felt as if this was quite a bit to take in. She had only just died apparently and was already being recruited for some sort of terrorist group? She hummed in thought before giving her response. "What exactly would we be helping you with?" she asked, being cautious of this new stranger.
"Game?" I stutter slightly, looking around the room. I hold my left arm and bite my lip. Really I was terrified and had no idea what was going on. (I got it wrong… I hope not…) I was breathing heavily,"What's going on? What happened?"

(Wait is this all first person only? Should I edit my response?)
James studies the room. Fish palaces aren't half bad. he thought. Looking out the window, he saw a beautiful scene before him. Not bad at all.
(Hey @BBC_Fangirl , the rules state for each post to be at least 4 sentences long excluding dialogue. Please lengthen your post. Describe how James is feeling, something he might be doing out of nervousness or shyness, or body language he might be conveying, as well as more thorough examination of his thoughts! )
(It was four sentences.)
(I-I didn't edit anything…. did it not load properly? My notebook is playing up so that might be it?)
Kamryn looked around at the new world. The placate was beautiful shades of blue and green with hints of purple here and there. Fish swam everywhere. A littl fish accidentally bumped into her. Looking it swam happily around her twice then swam back to its family. Waving to it she smiled. She thought about what the girl said and frowned. She only died like 10 minutes ago and now she was under water. She clutched her throat thinking she couldn’t breathe but found that she was breathing fine.
I examined the crowd of strangers amongst the group. Three girls and one boy stood confused while - Myst? Was it? - cheerfully smiled, standing tall and leader-like. Meredith, was more calm, but still sent good vibes. The water was warm, but I didn't feel any pressure from it, strangely. My clothes did not cling either.
"If you don't mind, can I ask a question? What makes you think we are worth recruiting? If these people are like me, I assume we died about, oh, very recently?"
Immediately, they had questions, which causes me to smile even further. That means they're interested.
"What exactly would we be helping you with?" The first girl, Tara, asks. My eyes wander up and around as I think of the various subjects they need to work on.
"Ideally, there won't be any field work. The most would be arresting the culprit. What you'll be working on would be like a game of clue. We gather the evidence that we have and come to a conclusion, but we can't make an arrest until we are absolutely positive who the leader of the organization is and have undeniable proof; Meredith's orders." I grin at Meredith as she playfully rolls her eyes.
"Game?" The next kid, Kristine, stutters, "What's going on? What happened?" My smile fades slightly, as I wonder if she knows where she is.
"Did someone explain what happened to you? I'd hate to repeat it, but you've drowned. But, no worries, this is something you could call the afterlife, or maybe the mid-afterlife. To be honest with you, I'm not sure how it works myself. I've only been here a few years. However, you're being offered a job already! This will have a big reward, in case anyone was wondering that."
I watch the other kids looking around as I await the next question. I hope everyone is interested in joining, and I hope that each of them will contribute wherever necessary.
"If you don't mind, can I ask a question?" One of the boys, Lee Ace I believe it was, spoke up. I nod and smile again. "Ask away."
"What makes you think we are worth recruiting?" I nod my head, realizing how interesting of a question that was. "If these people are like me, I assume we died about, oh, very recently?"
I grin and shrug my shoulders.
"Other than the fact that I believe each of you have plenty of potential, you're also trustworthy. You all just joined, and therefore there is no way in which any of you guys could be part of the organization!" I lean forward and point to my head.
"Pretty smart of us, isn't it?"
group
Tara seemed quite unsure about all of this. She bit her lip, contemplating if this was the best idea. While there was the promise of a reward, Tara didn't even know if she could consider herself as trustworthy. She had none of her memories after all. "I suppose so…" she replied. The girl now had her arms crossed loosely in front of her, unsure of joining or not.
Kristine looks around the room again, "Potential? Trustworthy? I still dont know where I am. The rest of you look ;ike you do. Care to elaborate?" She snaps, rubbing her arms unconsciously. All of the stuff she learned from Marine Biology seems to come flooding back to her but nothing compared to what she was seeing here in this place
Kamryn look at the other girl. She looked around the room and found some seaweed. Smooshing it in her hands, she made a ring with it and put it on the angry girls head “Chill chica! This seaweed will help cool your mind! Calm down and then speak.”
James wondered how he had come back to life. He knew he had drowned, he felt the water enter his lungs and kill him. But somehow he was alive. How would he tell his sister? She was living in London, in the middle of a successful career, miles away from his old outpost in America. She wouldn't want to visit where his death had taken place either way. But for now, he should stick to worrying about how the flopping pancakes he had survived.

(I've just been grounded for who knows how long. I'm soooo sorry about this.)
Kristine flinches at the seaweed (If it was her). She feels up to it then makes a face at the other girl, "Ok you cant really tell me to chill. I just drowned, was resurrected and going to die again -if that's evenn possible- during this crazy, whacked up mission." Kristine snarls.
“Stop and breathe then talk.” Kamryn instructed. She knew how to deal with panic but this girl wasn’t listening
(yall,,, remember,,,, four sentences minimum,,, and only reply if it's your turn bc y'all skipped me thanks ok)
My eye flickered back and forth between the two arguing girls. I waved my hand, trying to get their attention. With a calm voice, I spoke, "Hey, wait, let's settle down. None of us know any more than you do, so we must all be in the same situation! Right? We shouldn't jump to any conclusions!" I smiled sincerely, hoping the two would quiet down so that Myst could answer more of our questions. Meredith seemed rather desperate if she is recruiting complete strangers, I almost pitied her.

(But I didn’t know we were going by turns
( @FireSky @The Runner the rules clearly state that you must wait your turn before posting a second time. It allows for everyone to be included and also progresses the story. The rules also clearly state that each post should have a minimum of 4 sentences excluding dialogue/quote. This also encourages a more fleshed out role play and just is a good minimum for role plays for many reasons. If you read the rules, you would have known that there is a turn system as well as a minimum for each post. )
There was a bit of an awkward silence before anyone spoke, as if thinking about it. I understand they may need time to take this all in, but the vibes they gave off made me uneasy. They didn't seem dedicated in any way; at least some of them didn't.
"I suppose so." Tara mumbled, avoiding eye contact. I nod gently at her as a reassurance.
"Potential? Trustworthy?" Kristine chimed in, confused yet again. "I still don't know where I am. The rest of you look like you do. Care to elaborate?" I sigh heavily, wondering how many times I'd have to repeat myself to her.
"I thought I made it quite clear. This is my house, in the underwater land. We're going to fight an organization that poses a potential threat to underwater land. Are you caught up now?"
Lee Ace spoke up.
"Hey, wait, let's settle down. None of us know any more than you do, so we must all be in the same situation! Right? We shouldn't jump to any conclusions!"
I grin at Lee Ace and look at the others.
"Right, we are all in the same situation, with your confusion you're about to make me as clueless as you. Listen, there's no way to contact the outside world, and I understand this might be a bit quick for you, but it might be easier if you settle in and get used to it."
Meredith raised her eyebrows.
"Myst, you could have put it more, I don't know, softly?"
I shrug my shoulders at her, huffing a sigh.
"Sugarcoating hasn't worked so far, I thought I'd try something new."
I turn back to everyone else.
"So does everyone know what's going on or do you need it in writing?"
James contemplated on how to tell her he hadn't been listening. This was going to be awkward. Of course, he could just pretend he knew. But lying would be dishonest. But being dishonest is the point of lying, of course.
