Bernon yelped and dove out of the way, shedding his pack so he could move more easily. But he wasn't fast enough–the arrow hit his side, and he fell to the ground, gasping. The arrow's tip was dangerously close to his organs, and he didn't dare move for fear of rupturing them. "Please," he said through gritted teeth. "Let me go, I haven't done anything wrong!"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Another arrow shot back, this time at Thranion. Tanrial had heard the commotion and seeing Bernon being shot didn’t sit well, “Thranion, leave.” She commanded. “Thranion bowed low, “Tanrial-“ “No, Leave him be.” She shot another arrow hitting Thranion in the thigh. He winced and vanished in a cloud of dust and darkness.
(I have to have my vaccines, I’ll try to get back on but I can’t promise anything)

(Kay, I'll probably be in bed if/when you get back so bye bye ^^)
Bernon stared at Tanrial in surprise. "Thanks…..that was….um….you just saved my life." He tried to sit up and stifled a whimper. "Unless I die in the next few seconds."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(I’ll just leave this here for later)
Tanrial walked over to Bernon and crouched down next to him. She grabbed the first arrow and yanked it out. She could tell that he was trying not to cry when she pulled the second and binded them both with some cloth. “I told you to be careful. Thranrion would have killed you without a second thought then taken your body to fath- the King to see if he could harvest your body parts!”

@ElderGod-Carrots

(hello?)

(hi, I had a super busy day today and just got on ^^;)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Aha okie)

(Anyhoo) Bernon lay back on the grass, smiling tiredly. "What, do they eat people or something?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial smiled wickedly, “Some of them but Thranion, no. He would have kept your parts for his ‘collection’ a trophy of his victory”

"That's gross, man. I suppose we should probably clear out of here, eh?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial shrugged, “You’re quite safe now that I’m here but yeah, I suppose we should.”

He slowly got to his feet, wincing. "So these people do know you exist, huh? And they respect you. You could have just told me, I can keep secrets."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Depends if your gonna run to the King and say ‘Your Highness, I have found your disobedient daughter living in the woods’” She shrugged.

"Honestly, I'd only do that if I thought you were in danger out here. And from what I've seen, you can take care of yourself." He limped over to his backpack and stared at it grimly. "Will you help me get this on?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial gave a small smile, but picked up the bag. “Here.” She said and help him put it on.

"Thanks. Where to?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“We could go to my home, I guess.”

"I'm okay with whatever. Is it very far?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“No, about 2 miles that way, although I’ll have to remove the glamour on it when we get there.”
(Sorry, I’ve gotta go. I’ll try to get back on later but I’m not sure)

(Okay seeya ^^)
"I think I can make it that far. Thanks for all your help."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(I’m baaaack)
Tanrial shrugged, “No problem.” The two of them set off towards the snowy topped mountains, the trees becoming dense with every step towards the house. The twittering of the birds became distant but becuse of Tanrial’s non-human ears, she could still hear them loud and clear.

"So, how long have you been living out here on your own?" Bernon panted. "Seems like you know your way around."

@ElderGod-Carrots

“Five years, and when you spend most of your life training in this area you get to know everything quickly.”

"Oh. And your dad really doesn't know where you are, after all this time?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“No, he’s to busy trying to take over the human race I guess. Thranion will most likely tell him he saw me but won’t tell him where.”

"Oh, that's….nice of him." Bernon stopped and leaned against a tree, trying to catch his breath. "You ever tried so hard not to pass out that you started seeing things?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“No, why? Need me to carry you?” She glanced sidelong at Bernon, smirking.

"Um, can you carry me? And my pack? Thanks, but I'm fine." He gingerly touched his side and gritted his teeth. "You know, I don't think you're taking this seriously enough. I got shot, twice! I'm in danger of losing a whole lot of blood, and after that there's infections to worry about, and out here medicine isn't exactly easy to find. Plus it flipping hurts, and you're asking me to walk a couple miles over rough terrain with a load on my back! Does that seem like a good idea to you?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

“You’re no fun,” Tanrial waved her hand and the binds tightened, “There, your not gonna lose anymore blood. I have things at home to stop infections. To get there faster we could fly but are you to scared?”

Bernon laughed almost incredulously. "Scared? Tanrial, I'm light-headed and experiencing mild hallucinations, not scared. If you can somehow fly us to your house without breaking every bone in my body, I'm game. Let's do it."
