Ezra respected Silver's need for quiet and emotional personal space.
"Did you walk okay?" He asked her softly. "With the rain coming down and everything?"

"Yes, I brought an umbrella," She smiled and turned his way, "What about you?"

"I just flipped up my hood and hoped for the best," Ezra told her honestly, with a slight smile. "Sorry about your arm by the way."

"Why are you apologizing, I just fell," She smiled

Ezra rolled his eyes playfully.
"yeah," he agreed. "Sure."

She smacked his arm, "I did!" She laughed, "Thanks for helping, by the way, the police arrested him."

Ezra smiled, showing his slightly elongated canines.
"No problem," he said honestly. "Always down to help a pretty girl in need."

"I'm really not that pretty, I just look like a ghost."

Ezra shrugged.
"Everything depends on perspective." He said and winked at her, smiling.

Silver blushed and looked a little panicked, "I guess so.."

Ezra laughed heartily.
"I'm just teasing," he reassured her.

"Y-Yeah.." She rubbed her neck, she seemed a little disappointed when she didn't feel her long hair. "What are you doing after this.." She muttered

Ezra shrugged.
"Nothing, really," she said. "What about you?"

"Nothing really.. wanna grab coffee or something..?" She was nervous asking, feeling like she was intruding in his space. She shifted in her seat awaiting an answer.

"Sure." Ezra said happily, smiling brightly at her.
"I could get us a discount at my work, it's like three streets over from here." He suggested. "Or we can go somewhere else, if you'd like."

"Sure..! Let's go to your work," Silver smiled brightly, not knowing what to think of the situation. She had never really hungout with a friend before

Ezra nodded.
"I'll show you the way, after the meeting." he told her kindly. "I'll tell you the best coffees we have."

"Great!" Silver smiled, a real smile. She kept watching the clock, she couldn't wait for the meeting to end

The meeting ended and Silver waited for Ezra, "Ready to go?" She asked

Ezra nodded and stood up and stretched.
"Yeah," she said. "What about you?"

She nodded, "Let's go,"

He led her to a small round table and went up to the counter, and chatted with Emmeline, a dark haired fair woman in her early twenties who seemed happy to see him.

"Is she your girlfriend?" She asked innocently, taking a seat

Ezra shook his head.
"Emmeline?" He asked. "No, we just work together, and we're friends."

"she's super pretty, though." She rubbed her aching shoulder as she fought to think of something to talk about

Ezra nodded.
"She is," he admitted. "But we're just friends, we've gone out and found out it didn't really work out romantically."
