"Okay, I'll go find Dante. The last time I cleaned the bathrooms, my hair stank like ammonia for weeks" She walked into the hallways, taking some detours before arriving at Dante's office. 'Hey, are you in there?" she called through the door.

Dante raised his head at the sound of a familiar voice. Hurriedly snapping his notebook shut, he stood and opened the door. “Hello?”

"The captain sent me to find you" Kaida said, peering into the doorway. "He says we're…floating around in space or something?"

A frown tugged at Dante’s lips. “Oh. I’ll see to it, then. Where is he?”

Kaida shrugged. “I don’t know, last time I checked, he was going to go get something to eat. “

“Alright. Thank you, Kaida,” he murmured, taking a hand through his hair. “Is there anything else you need?”

“Not really.” Kaida said with a shrug. “Could I tag along though? I’m bored out of my mind here and I don’t want to clean the bathrooms”

Dante chuckled softly. “Sure, yeah. How’re you?”

“Oh, I’m alright.” She said with a smile. “How are you?”

Closing the door behind him, Dante slipped both hands into his pockets and began to walk down the hallway. "I'm alright," he answered smoothly, covering the lie with a quiet cough.

“Are you sure?” Kaida asked, bumping Dante with her shoulder.

Dante flinched away from the contact, forcing his expression to lose all emotion. "Perfectly sure."

Kaida laughed. “Doesn’t sound so sure to me, but if you don’t want to talk about it that’s cool.” Changing the subject, she added “so where are we off to today?”

"That depends on what our captain wants," he murmured, pushing a hand through his hair. "Hopefully closer to home…"

Kiara grinned."Depends on where home is, but agreed."

“Terra 014 for me,” Dante murmured, “Otherwise known as the Fourteenth Earth. What about you?”

"We call it Buihiri, but you'd probably know it as C-98. Its just over the size of a moon, but hey, it's home."

A soft smile tugged at Dante’s lips. “Oh, I’ve heard of C-98. My aunt lived there for a while, I think.”

“Yeah, it’s pretty nice. I miss it, but gotta get some adventures under my belt, you know?” She smiled. “So what’s Terra 014 like?”

Dante's peaceful expression faltered. "It's…. well. Most of it is in a state of decay. It's a small planet, especially compared to Earth 001, and it's recovering from a nuclear war… so…."

“Oh, I’m sorry. That must be awful.”

He shrugged slightly. "It's fine. What's your home like?"

Kaida’s face lit up. “Oh, it’s so pretty. It’s mostly an ocean planet, with lots of tropical islands, and also a lot of volcanoes. It’s the best”

"It sounds really nice," Dante murmured, running a hand through his hair as they walked. "Remind me, where is our Captain right now?"

“Hell if I know. Probably…the cafeteria?” She shrugged.

"I mean, where did he ask you to bring me?" he elaborated with a sigh. "Where was he when you saw him last?"

“Well, he either didn’t say or I wasn’t listening.” She said, frowning. “But I’m pretty sure he was taking people to the cafeteria.”
