"Now get your fairy ready. You know I am hosting the next fairy battle and you better win me some cash." Trin walks back to her quarters.
No! Lucas can't fight, he's not big enough! He'll be killed!
(also if anyone wants to be the ember fairy)
He starts to follow Trin but stops, he looks at Lucas in his weak state and grabs him some water while Flint thinks through what to do. He can't force Lucas to fight, he's got to tell Trin that, maybe the fact he's weak and an air fairy may help in influencing her.
It came time for the fight. The Red Boots (sorry for the cheesy name) were on board ready for the gambling.
Flint went around the crowd to talk to Trin, "Hey, you know how you want Lucas to fight?"
"Flint, your air ready? He is going up against an easy water." Trin opens her ember fairy's cage.
"What are you talking about." Trin stares at Flint.
"No, he can't, too weak, too young. You know," Flint shrugs, acting natural.
No no no no no… What do I do? What do I- hey. Maybe if I show myself it'll create a distraction and call off the fight!
"Is he gonna loose us money?"
"Yeah, not worth it," Flint hopes this will work.
"Ug, than put him in the bait stand." Trin smiles a cruel, heartless smile.
"He'll grow though, he can become stronger if trained. Why throw away the possibility?" Flint attempts to appeal to her.
"Maybe, if he's eaten, you'll get a better fairy."
"Phiri," Manilla whispers, "I have an idea."
Flint glares at her, trying to keep his breathing steady, "He's my fairy, I don't want to just throw him away."
"Yeah? What Is it?"
"When they leave him as bait, we can sneak him out."
"Yeah, if they leave him as bait. And what does that even mean? Bait for what?"
"The sirens." (I just thought why not lets bring them in)
"Siren bait?! Thats insane! The sirens would get us as well!"
"Sirens love to eat fairies. Pirates want to catch sirens."
"We can do it, I don't see any sirens."
"Well you can't see them, they camouflage, but still."
"Fine, we'll try."
Lucas sat in his cage with a melancholy look on his face, examining the water. Quite frankly, the thought of possibly having to fight another fairy terrified him, but there was nothing he could do for the moment.
