Jordan was laying in her bed looking at a picture of her father. Today was Jordan's 16th birthday a year ago from today her father was killed in a plane crash, He was on her way home to see Jordan on her birthday so, not only had Jordan's father died he died on her birthday.

Asher creeped into his and Jordans joint room. "Mums gone for about the whole day." he whispers joyfully, knowing when she gets back she will be too drunk and probably high to beat them.

"Okay" Jordan said sadly and turned to her side facing away from the door and was now facing the white wall.

"Happy birthday." he smiles weakly and pulls something out of his bag "I got you a cupcake."

Jordan turned back around and smiled gently at her brother the only other person who actually cared about her.

"Its your favorite." he says and plops down on the bed next to his sister

Jordan slowly sat up and took the cupcake from her brothers hand.
