Winry waits, shuffling through materials and tools in an old crate box

A few minutes later Loki walked in on the girl. He was wearing a crisp black suit, an olive green scarf, and his hair was tied back in a manbun. He looked incredibly handsome, to tell the truth. "What are you working on?" He asked.

Winry stares, frozen. She drops the crate, 'What in the-"

"Is there a problem?"

"Uh… W-well uh… Well just…" She inhales and ex-hails through her teeth, trying to regain her composure. She shakes her head and walks over to the old car, "Nvm…"

"What are you doing?" He asked, curious.

She points down into the engine, "Trying to fix this piece of junk." She doesnt look at him

"It doesn't seem like junk if you're trying to fix it." He bent down and examined it.

"Wut"

"If it were junk you would have tossed it out." He explained.

"Huh. Its a bit more than that though…" She bends over the rim and reaches down into the engine up to her shoulder

"What is specifically wrong with it?" He asked.

"Im not sure… Thats the thing…" She grunts, bending her arm at an odd angle to reach under the main engine

"Well, is there something wrong in the engine? A leak? Or is it a different design flaw that you're overlooking?"

She freezes for a moment then looks up at him, "Since when did you know about cars?"

"I spent a lot of time in Midgard, more than I care to admit." He said simply.

"Is that right…" She looks back to the engine, standing up straight. Her arm was covered in dust and old greese, "She looks down at it, "This is normal…"

"What happens when you try to start the engine?" Loki asked.

"Smoke. Thats it." Winry sighs, trying to rub the grease off absentmindedly on her pants

"Well I think that you may need to add a few new parts, or get a whole different engine. The fuses have blown off completely." He said, still examining the vehicle.

She glares at him, "Really. I never noticed." She says sarcastically. She looks away, trying to avoid the question 'why havent you?'

"Well, why is the engine so special to you then?" He asked.

"Its not the engine its the whole car…" Winry sighs

"Well, tell me about the car then." Loki smiled softly, he couldn't help but show even the smallest amount of affection towards the girl. But he hid it well.

She sighs, walking around to the drivers side and climbing inside, 'Well… It uh… It was fathers… and um…" She takes the wheel in both hands, "Its just a place to think I guess… I know that isnt a very good answer but…"

"What was he like?"

"Who?" She blinks a few times.
(She is dirt poor and barely keeping up with everything because her dad drank and spent all of their money… Just an FYI)

"Your dad, what was he like?" Loki repeated.

"Who?" She blinks a few times.
