Cass grabbed a vial of liquid from her bag, and handed it to the guard. "It will ease his pain. There's nothing else I can do," She said solemnly, and left the guard house, tears stinging her eyes. It was the plague, she knew, it seemed to follow her like a pet dog, everywhere she went. Cass slumped against the side of the guard house, and let silent tears fall down her face.

Fiona grabbed her dagger from the animal and wiped it clean on her pants, quickly putting it away when she was done.
