Saul rushed over to her. "Anya, are you alright?" he asked worriedly.

"Farah has her, and I trust Farah with my life," Saul replied. "What about you? Be honest."

He cracked a smile. Blood leaked from a cut above his eyebrow. "Those wings were amazing."

Farah cradled her daughter in her arms, partially oblivious to what was going on behind her. She'd felt Rosalind's absence, so she knew the wicked fairy was really gone, but she still didn't turn around. Her eyes never left her daughter's face. "Saul. Anya," she called their names with a strangled voice.

Saul followed, but he stayed a bit back and remained standing.

Farah's eyes clouded with tears. "I can feel her," she whispered. "But I can't wake her."

"We should get back to Alfea," Saul suggested. "It's too open out here. And I don't trust Rosalind any further than I can throw her."

Eve moaned softly, stirring again, but not enough to wake. At least they knew she was alive.

Saul reached out and rested his hand on his wife's shoulder. "Farah…"

Her eyes closed, and she nodded slowly. "Alright. Let's go." Farah spoke incredibly slow to keep her voice from breaking.

Farah picked up on the sound and glanced over at her. "Stop," she ordered plainly as she carried Eve up to her office. Students looked on and murmured curiously.

Once they reached the office, Farah walked past Callum at his desk, blatantly ignoring him when he rose to his feet in concern, and opened the door to her office with her powers. Inside, she set Eve down on the couch gently, and without taking her eyes off her daughter's face, she spoke to Saul. "Get Ben."

He disappeared without another word, and Farah shut and locked the door behind him, leaving her and Anya alone with Eve.

Again, Eve stirred. “Anya,” she whispered aloud, though she was still unconscious. “Mom.”

The noise Farah made was a mix of a sigh and a gasp, and tears instantly sprung to her eyes.

It took her a couple more seconds, but slowly, Eve's eyes opened. She took in Farah's office and the worried looks on the faces of her mother and her girlfriend. "So what did I miss?" she asked with a wry smile.

Eve clung to her girlfriend tightly, and her eyes met Farah's. So much emotion passed wordlessly between them.

Eve and Farah broke eye contact as Farah looked to the door. With her magic, she unlocked it, and Saul and Ben came stumbling in. "Oh!" Saul's eyes widened, seeing Eve conscious. "You're awake now."

"Dad," Eve laughed.

Eve stood and rushed to her father's arms. Saul hugged her tightly. "I love you," he mumbled into her hair.

"I know…"

Farah looked from her husband and daughter to Anya. "What?"

"No," Farah replied quietly, looking down to avoid Anya's gaze. "I did." She stood up and walked to her desk, not letting her pain show.

Eve let go of Saul and turned to Anya. "So what happened?" she asked eagerly.
