Eve put on a filmy blouse, a stylish jacket, and jeggings. When she finished, she knocked on Anya’s door expectantly. “Ready, darling?”

Eve entered, taking a seat on Anya’s bed. “I went into my room and missed you,” she remarked with a soft smile.

It was maybe a minute before the door flew open with mind magic, and Eve stood inside, the silver-blue fading from her eyes and her natural dark brown color returning. “You’re not funny,” she remarked.
" wasn't tryna be" she said seriously. Anya really meant what she'd said. " Now are we going or no, because if we ain't I'm changing and going back to sleep."

“My senses? You’re amusing,” Eve purred, walking at her quick natural with long strides. Walk with confidence. Look like you know where you’re going and no one will question you.

Eve adjusted her pace to match Anya’s. “So, are you excited?” she asked, trying to spark conversation.

“Mmm,” Eve hummed. “Don’t worry, my love. I won’t let anything bad happen to you. You won’t so much as twist your ankle on a root, I’ll protect your every step.”
