Helix walked through the village located near the Arcana Rain Forest known as Mayland. He had heard stories of a civilian with an unnatural ability. As he walked, Helix tightened his blindfold to prevent other from seeing his eyes. This didn't bother him much as he could see beyond the fold. He looked everywhere and asked every resident, only to hear they did not know who he was referring to. As he wandered the center, he ran into a boy he didn't see coming. "I am so sorry," Helix said, acting blind, "Are you okay?"
Laie noticed him right away.
"Helix. That..is your name, right?"
He gently removes the blindfold from the boy's eyes.
"The forest is prettier when you aren't looking at it through a blindfold."
With shock and confusion he saw who he had hit, it was Laie. "The blindfold isn't a block for me. It is to hide from…well everyone. You're the one I've been hearing about?"
"But you don't need to hide. Not anymore."
Laie helps him up and looks at him awkwardly.
"Tell me what happened. Why are you out so far?"
"You haven't heard?" Helix looks down, "I haven't been home in three years. I was casted out."
"I was spared the details."
Laie looked down at the ground and shuffled his feet. His eyes going a deep blue.
"Well. We have to keep moving."
"Where to?" Helix asks as he reaches for his blindfold, "I'm an outcast everywhere"
Laie rips the blindfold away from him and tears it in half.
"You won't need this where we are going."
"Okay" Helix takes the ripped blindfold and his eyes turn red and lights it on fire, "After you."
"Interesting."
Laie walks off into the forest, expecting Helix to follow.
Helix hesitated. He didn't know what to expect. After a few seconds he start to follow Laie.
They walk further and further without stopping. Laie doesn't look back to see if Helix is following.
As they walked through town, Helix looked at Laie with curiosity, "So…I've heard you're some kind of empath? People have been sharing stories about you over and over again. Spreads throughout many cities."
"Indeed I am. Although, the stories never get it right."
Laie leads Helix to a dead end. No doors, no nothing, just a tall, brick wall.
"Well, after you."
Helix examines the wall carefully and grow suspicious, "Is this…a joke?"
"Oh. my bad."
Laie snaps his fingers and the wall disappears.
"Welcome."
Helix couldn't believe what he saw, "I… You… how…?"
"I will exlain later. Just go inside."
Laie moves out of the way so Helix can enter.
Helix was very nervous about what lied beyond, but he managed to find the strength and walked through…
As soon as he entered the room. Laie turned the lights on and a large room appeared. Tables and candles across the room.
"Sit."
Helix still felt nervous and remained standing. "I am not sure how to feel about this. I've never known you to have such magic as I have."
Laies eyes go bright red and he pushes Helix into the chair.
"Just do as you are told for christ sake. Do you want to go back to living on the streets?"
Laie moves back and starts collecting books from the bookcase that covers the entire wall behind him.
