"Whoa.." Marcus was almost breathless as he watched the Tall One stumble in, but immediately realized something was wrong. "I-is he okay?" He asked, looking up at Neil, who gives a small shrug.
Fearlessly Riding Along With the Wind (OPEN)
"I don't think so." Watan replied, rubbing his chin, that was lightened with stubble.
"He's talking about a 'Tyrant -King…" Siegfried added. Immediately the Tail One free a sword, with a white-silver colored blade.
"Griztham is coming!" It called .
People kept their distance.
"Step one, analyze the situation. A Tall One, and one that just pulled a sword. Time to skip other steps." He walks forward, his hands starting to crackle with magical energy. This is not going to end well.
"Under his fist we will suffer!" The Tall One called. Immediately, he plunged the sword into himself. Light bled from the wound.
"Be merciful to yourselves." He called , before falling to the floor dead.
That was when people started to scream.
"Fuck." Col mutters, inspecting the corpse. His hands still magicifyed, then he hears the screams and starts to realize he should probably get help.
"Oh, hell." Neil breaths, backing up with Marcus hiding behind him. This was why they rarely left the forest. "N-Neil, what was he t-talking about? A-and why did he do that!?" Marcus wails. "Hell if I know!" Neil exclaimed, half tempted to just grab Marcus and run home.
Siegfried hides behind Watan, pressings body against the taller guy. His feet poised, as he grabs Watan's shoulders. The boys approach the body, which is destroyed in a flash of light, searing a silhouette into the soil.
Siegfried winces.
(Hsh. I like how both of their instincts are to hide behind the other.)
"Hello." says Col, shielding his eyes from the light. "Im Col, can you get one of the elder mages?" he asks the boys.
"Siegfried, to get the Headmage, He'll want to see this." Watan shouted.
"Sure thing, Watan!" Seig' said, his limbs pistoning as he booked it. Honestly, he was glad to be out of there, but he wanted to be with Watan.
(Lol, ye, that is cute ^u^)
Marcus slowly approached the scene, keeping behind Neil just in case. "Hey, what happened?" Neil asked.
"Hell if I know." Watan responded, numbly. He was glad his buddy had gotten out of there. He didn't want Siegfried to see all this, but he wanted to keep the little bastard safe as well.
"The Tall One… He… Ended it… Over someone named Griztham."
"Yeah, i've been studying Tall Ones and nothing like this has happened before." Col says, walking over to them. "Im Col, a Mage!"
('little bastard' XD Honestly that's kinda how Neil was with Marcus when they first met)
Neil nodded as if he understood, but he didn't. "I-I..think I've heard that name before." Marcus spoke to himself quietly. "I'm Neil. This is Marcus." Neil said for him.
"Hello there." Watan replies, putting out a hand to Col. "I'm Watan."
"Awesome, now the problem of this thing." he mutters to himeself
"Isn't it obvious? He explained it to us before he… You know." Watan gestured towards the silhouette.
Neil nodded, crossing his arms. "Who's..Griztham?" He asked.
"It makes sense that none of you know about him." The Headmage, with his gnarled ebony staff and purple robes, called out. "Griztham was a tyrannical emperor from fifty years ago. He conquered most of the world. Only our country and several others managed to stand strong. He spread himself too thin, and left himself open to assassination attempts. .. Only one stuck, but it seems he's back." The man explained , beard wagging, and accompanied by Siegfried.
"Wait, so..he was brought back to life?" Neil asked for clarification. "Resurrected." Marcus corrected, and Neil flicked a hand at him.
"We don't know that for sure but, if what our friend here was saying turned out to be true, then…" The mage said, tapping the ground with his staff. "It would appear that a Necromancer is involved."
"Who the hell would want to bring back a tyrannical king?" Neil asked, and Marcus slapped his arm, whispering to him to be more respectful to a Headmage.
(Gotta go eat)
(Ok.)
"Someone who recognized his military prowess, and can offer something in return for his help." Watan figured.
"Yeah, like a 'you help me I help you' type thing. " added Siegfried
(Eyy)
"Right, so, the typical kind of bad guy stuff you hear in stories." Neil muttered, and Marcus sighs at him. "Sorry, sorry. Do you know who this 'someone' is?"
"I'm afraid not." The mage said. "But we shall gather the Council of Headmages tonight, and the verdict will be decided. Upon the morrow." He turned , and walked off, ambiguously.
Siegfried looked ghastly tonight. Watan approached him, wrapping his arms around him as the smaller boi buried his face into him.
"Let's get you home Siegfried." Watan offered.
Marcus smiled, and Neil looked toward the forest. "Yeah, we should probably get going too, huh?" He said. Marcus sighed but nodded, sad about what had happened. "A-and I..think I dropped the basket s-somewhere." Neil grinned, patting the faun's head. "You can weave a new one." Without another word, he turned and headed towards the forest, and Marcus hurried to follow. "Um, bye!" He called over his shoulder.
"Peace out." Watan called.
Col stayed for a bit, still inspecting the seared spot, till his mentors told him to go home.
(Hey guys, it's shuri. Bad luck with technology has forced me to make a new account. Good thing I didn't have anything big on it.)
(Ah, okie doke)
