Mako snapped a few other absurdities at the females, though they were trying to help. Not that he really cared, being mostly a loner. So if it meant 'hurting feelings' or whatever it was humans called it, he honestly could care less. Mako didn't bother himself with things. There were times the male would slink in on something that didn't concern him. Was handy when it came to gathering information on certain things, objects, and points of interest.
His gaze shifted to the side as the Ship Master and the other few returned, leaving behind a massacre. Mako gave a soft snort, still quite annoyed about being bombarded by cans to the head. He stepped to the side, his tail seeming to disappear as well that was once behind him, propping him upwards. The male suddenly found himself no longer hungry, but hurt and annoyed. Mako knew he was gonna have one hell of a headache. A hand lifted upwards, barely touching his head, wincing at the pain.
"Stupid moving…ow…the shit I…ow…put up with…ow…"

Crimson walked over to Mako then turned and grabbed ice and gave it to him. She didn't say a word as she did so.

Ariene leaned back in her chair, scooting to the corner where she figured she would take up the least amount of space.

Alex walked into the kitchen and stared at the crew, his eyes shifting to Mako. "Who hurt the mermaid?" He smiled in an incredibly frustratingly annoying way. "Good job guys. We left you alone for an hour to start a war and you just get yourself hurt. Let's see how you do when people are legitimately trying to kill you."

She glanced up at Penn and swallowed her bite of food "I'm pretty good, nothing to extraordinary happening, but good. You?" She asked, tilting her head slightly

"Maybe a bit less good now after that announcement," Penn responded. She was not one for combat, so she silently hoped to herself nothing of the sort is ahead of her.

His head turned, looking to see a sudden thing of ice in his hand. The male's eyes narrowed even further, pupils becoming even thinner slits. Mako stared at the offered item, finally growling, "The fuck is this for?"
Instantly his eyes once again shifted as the Captain made themselves known, as usual with a remark. Mako bit back his own smart ass remark. It could be rather annoying to have what he called 'land-dwellers' and 'humans' just waltz around knowing about this shit. He instead settled for rolling his eyes, snarling something silently in his own tongue, then finally speaking out loud to be heard and understand.
"Remind me why I agreed to this shit. As for people trying to kill me," a sudden smirk crossed his features, "Nearly happened once now didn't it? But think I've learned from that mistake, and would like to see them try now."
It was true, and the main reason was for Mako had never been so close to the surface at the time. So he had not known about 'nets' or the such. Even at such a large size, Mako had suffered. The male still had the scars to prove his time in the wretched thing that once held him captive for so long to he nearly starved to death. Though he would prefer not having a repeat of being in a 'net', as well as not staying out of water for too long. Being without the water could be a death sentence for him. Mako knew this all too well, yet here he was, on a ship in the air, or wherever the crazy asshole for a captain decided to put it. So long as he had his tub in his quarters, he was good to go. He could be out of the water for a day before having to return, usually being weakened greatly by the end of a full 24 hours without exposure during that time. Mako could be called a 'glass-cannon' that way when out of his element.
When in the water, particularly a great expanse of ocean or lake, he was an even greater force. It was his element, the water was where he belonged. Whenever possible, Mako would prefer taking any fight to the water, because there he knew he had the advantage over enemies.

“I have no idea why you agreed to this shit.” He shrugged. “As a matter of fact, I have no idea why any of you agreed to do this shit. However, you’re on the ship now and there’s no going back so I recommend you just go along for the ride.” He paced out of the kitchen, towards the front of the ship.

"He… does have a point there." Pennsylvania said, mostly to herself. "Speaking of that, why are all of you here?"

“I needed a bit of adventure,” replied Evangeline. “And being quite poor and no idea how to go about travelling, this seemed like a good option. I also wanted to help people and learn about medicine and healing.”

"I needed somewhere to make my inventions without it being illegal. Plus, i like having somewhere to blame shit on."

"Those are two… very different answers. I'd say I'm more like Evangeline in this spectrum, but with a pinch of whatever Tomas has going on," Penn announced.
