Tyler stepped back, afraid he'd done something. 'Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. Are you alright?'

He blinked a few times, rubbing his eyes as he remembered that he was in a cafe. "Uh… yeah, sorry. I just didn't expect to fall asleep."
Tyler relaxed a bit. 'Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you, I didn't see that your eyes were closed. Anyway, do you know someone called Billie?'
(yeah I was in PE but my ankle did a bad)
He ran a hand through his hair, trying to remember. "I don't know. Maybe? It's hard for me to remember names." He looked up at the guy. "What's your name?"
(dude you need to get that checked out as soon as you have the opportunity. Also I have a compression wrap if you need to use it. Idk if I mentioned that before I probably did though)
'Tyler. Tyler Williams. And I'm pretty sure I saw you hanging out with Billie one time - I might be thinking of someone else. What's your name?' asked Tyler, sitting opposite him but keeping a close eye on his bags.
(awkward laughter in the distance)
(take care of yourself my dude)
He smiled at him. "I'm Mitchell. Nice to meet you."
(nah) Michael continued to play in the background, a little proud of how well he was doing so far
'Good to meet you too,' answered Tyler. He panicked suddenly, wondering if his voice was deep enough. 'So, uh, what brings you here, uh, Mitchell?'
Mitchell immediately noticed the drastic change in Tyler's voice, and he chuckled a little. "Well, I'm single, gay, and I wanted coffee. So when I found out about this place I decided to check it out," he admitted.
("I'm single, gay, and I wanted coffee." I gotta use that at some point lol)
(lol same)
'Gay, huh?' asked Tyler, interested a lot more. 'So am I. Out of interest, how old are you?'
(I don't like coffee so imma just replace that with tea)
"I'm 19. How about you?" He asked, fiddling with the strings of his hoodie.
'Same. 19…' replied Tyler, trailing off. Nineteen, and I just got kicked out… 'I'm near the end of my first year at medical school, but I'm not sure if I'll continue it.'
"Medical school?" Mitchell said, raising his eyebrows. "Damn, that's impressive."
'Thanks,' replied Tyler, trying to keep a happy tone in his voice. 'But it requires a lot of money. Unfortunately.'
"You got a point," Mitchell said. "But if you need any help with financial stuff, let me know. I could probably give you a hand."
'No, no, I'm fine, honestly,' rushed Tyler, not wanting to put a burden on anyone. 'I did have the money, but… yeah, I mean, I'm not even that interested in it anymore…' He was still interested in medical, but after what had happened, it was merely impossible.
"Calm down," Mitchell said slowly. "It's no big deal. I'm just saying that if you ever need somebody to lean on, financially or otherwise, I've got you."
'Thank you. Actually, I'm having a bit of an issue at the moment, and if you seem so insistent to help, then… maybe you could help with this?' asked Tyler, hoping what he was about to ask wasn't too much.
He leaned closer to him a bit, a strand of hair falling in front of his eyes. "Yeah, of course. What's up?"
'Well…' Tyler sighed, thinking of how to say it. 'I, uh, came out to my parents last night. As trans. And you, uh, you see all those bags over there? You can probably guess what happened.'
Mitchell's smile fell. "Oh shit," he muttered, leaning back and running a hand through his hair. "That's fucking horrible. I can try to get you a place to stay for a while, or you can stay with me."
Tyler thought for a moment. 'I-I don't mean to be a burden, but if I could stay with you, that would - uh - that would be great.'
(So it seems to me like maybe our characters needed something to unite them, a common enemy or problem they're trying to solve so they're not just awkwardly flirting and making small talk. Could this be that? Do you all want to go in that direction at all?)
(I apologize in advance for Mitchell being a gay lil shit)
He smiled at him. "Don't worry about it. I have an extra empty room, and I could probably buy another mattress so that nobody has to sleep on the couch. Unless," he looked directly at Tyler. "You want to sleep in my bed," he joked, wiggling his eyebrows.
