Nyx listened, and nodded. "Oh, that makes more sense." he replied with a faint smile. "And…why would you have to be careful? Because of me?" his eyebrows drew together in slight confusion as he watched Jude.
(WHAT? omgg thats hilarious, i thought my brain was messing with me and I was seeing things (it was late). I went into my acc settings for Grammarly and everything hahaha)
"No, not 'cause of you," Jude shook his head, "Well, kind of. I– we have to be careful about where we go, cause I don't want you to be…recognized or whatever. It's a big city, but, still. I don't want to mess things up."

Nyx nodded a little bit. "Oh, okay." he replied. He took another sip of the coffee, biting his lip a little bit as he looked over at Jude.
( :) hmm, it would have been nearly perfect if it'd been on the first, but still, it made me laugh)
Jude smiled, shrugging slightly, "I'm sure I'll work something out, anyways," He said with a little sigh, trying not to think about his father finding out about Nyx.

Nyx nodded a little bit. "Unless RTI figures out that I'm gone…" he replied slowly, looking away. "And then I don't know what they'll do."
"It depends on…how they react, and what they find." Jude said, his eyebrows drawing together as he thought of what they might do, "–If they find the pod in the room I'm 'using,' or my fingerprints in the first one. Cause if they don't, then I can still find a way to keep you safe," He said with a quiet sigh, "But if they do find out I'm involved, I guess I'll have to…hide too?"
Nyx nodded a little bit, realizing the danger he was potentially putting Jude in. "But…you're the owner's son. Wouldn't that…?" he trailed off, frowning a little bit, a little confused. "Would they hurt you or something even though…?"
Jude shrugged. "I don't know," He honestly answered. He didn't know how involved the military or government was with the project, or what length his father might go to protect him, that is– if he'd even try; their relationship was fractured enough. "If my father has any control over what's happened, he may…or may not intervene."
Nyx nodded a little bit. "Oh. Okay." He replied slowly, turning the information over in his head for a moment. He hadn't quite realized how much danger his existence was putting Jude in.
"Yeah, it's fine," Jude said with another shrug, mustering up a playful smile even though the thought of the consequences that might befall them still made him uneasy. "I live on the edge," He winked.
Nyx let out a quiet laugh. "I…I didn't know that I put you in danger like that." He said after a moment. "I…I'm sorry."
"You're sorry?" Jude said with a little raise of his eyebrows, shaking his head, "No, don't be sorry. I– I was the one who went into that room and opened the pod."
Nyx shrugged a little bit. "But I'm the one putting you in danger." He replied slowly. "So I'm sorry for that."

"No," Jude said, shaking his head again and reaching out to touch Nyx's hand, "No, it's my fault that we're in this mess; I could've just kept to myself– but I'm the one who opened a very cool-looking Pandora's Box."

Nyx smiled a little bit. Do you regret it? The thought occured suddenly, and his smile dropped a little, and he looked away, biting his lip.
"Hey," Jude said with a weary smile, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze, "Don't stress yourself over this shit, I'll figure it out."
Nyx looked at Jude. "But…do you regret opening it?" he asked in a small, quiet voice. Do you regret finding me? He chewed on his lower lip, taking a deep breath.
"What?" Jude said, straightening his posture. "No, never," he shook his head, taking Nyx's hand into his, "I am so, so glad I found you. I don't regret it at all."
Nyx looked at him, those blue eyes looking so vulnerable and scared. "Are you sure?" he whispered, chewing on his lip anxiously.
Jude nodded, swallowing. "Yes," He said quietly, fiercely, "I'm sure. I'm happy to have you here, with me. I don't…want you to be taken; I want you to stay. I want–" Jude shrugged.
Nyx studied him carefully, and nodded a little bit. "Okay." he replied. He got up and wrapped his arms around Jude, leaning into him.
Jude smiled at the sudden move, shifting in his chair so he could hug him back. "Don't worry," He told him, wrapping his arms around his waist, "I'll figure it out."
Nyx pressed his face in Jude's shoulder for a moment, taking a deep breath. "Okay." he said again. "I'm sorry for causing all this trouble."
"You haven't caused any trouble," Jude said, tracing gentle circles into his back, "None of this is your fault."
Nyx shrugged slightly, but took a deep breath and then nodded. "Okay. I just…" he shrugged again.
"Hey," Jude smiled, speaking softly and shifting to hold Nyx's face in his hands, "Nothing's happened yet. So as long as we're careful, and find ourselves a little plan, we don't have to worry."
Nyx looked at him, chewing on his lower lip a little bit. "Are…are you sure?" He asked quietly, studying Jude.
Jude nodded. "I'm sure," He said, looking fondly at him, "This is a dangerous game– but I'm sure. I would tell you if I wasn't."
Nyx nodded slightly. "Okay." he replied softly. "Thank you." he kissed Jude's cheek softly.
"Yeah, you're welcome," Jude said, shyly tilting his head to the side, "Now, come on, let's get you some clothes."
