"Yeah, for sure," Jude smiled, nodding towards the fitting rooms and quietly wondering why Nyx asked for things the way he did; if that was just how that part of his mind composed questions.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx headed into the changing rooms to try on the clothes. He always asked because, well…there was still a part of his mind that thought he needed to.

Jude waited on a cushioned bench just outside of the fitting rooms, idly scrolling through his phone. He replied to the many missed texts from his friends wondering where he'd been for the last few days, telling them he'd 'met someone' and would catch up with them later.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx tried on everything. Some of them didn't quite fit right, or at least, he didn't think they did. Then again, he didn't exactly know how tight was too tight and how tight was just the design.

Jude's thoughts lingered over to the lab back at RTI, remembering that he was supposed to be using it as a space for actual work, yet unbeknownst to his father, it sat dormant. He sighed, shaking his head to himself as he made a mental note to draw up some plans for the security drone or whatever he'd told him he was planning.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx finished trying everything on, and came back out. "Where do I put the ones I don't want?" he asked Jude, holding up the clothes in his hands.

"Umm," Jude hummed, pocketing his phone as he stood and scanned the room. "There, I think," He said, pointing at a wide shelf and a rack.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx nodded, and set the clothes away. "I'm done!" He said with a bright little smile, looking up at Jude.

"M'kay, everything works?" Jude smiled, glancing at the clothes he was carrying. He'd expected…well, he didn't know what he'd expected when it came down to what Nyx would pick out, seeing that he hadn't seen much of the current fashion before he'd met him. "We'll go pay for them, if you're ready."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx nodded a little bit. "I've got what I wanted." he replied. "Thank you." he smiled again, looking up at Jude with a bright, happy smile.

Jude smiled back, glad that Nyx was happy about getting them. They were just clothes, but he was so excited. "You're welcome. Cashier's over here." He nodded in the direction of the tills,

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx nodded a little bit as they headed towards the cashiers, holding the clothes in his hands.

The cashier greeted them at the till, smiling as she scanned and neatly bagged the clothes for them. Jude paid with his phone, barely acknowledging the total before the credit card machine chimed and he was handed the receipt.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx waited, watching carefully as Jude paid. He still didn't quite understand exactly how money worked, but he was trying to catch on.

Jude thanked the cashier and picked up the two bags, smiling over at Nyx. "Next up; shoes?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx blinked, then nodded. "Oh. Yeah." He replied, shooting Jude another quick smile. He ran a hand through his hair, taking a deep breath.

"Sure, let's go?" Jude smiled, nodding at the to the front of the store, trying to think if they'd passed any shoe stores as he pushed open the heavy glass door, moving onto the street. "So…no timbs, right?" He asked with a cheeky smile.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(I feel like that's not the whole reply? It starts in the middle of a sentence?)

(WHAT HAPPENED good gracious. I'll edit it. idk how that went off; my grammarly would've had a problem with it.)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(haha thanks!)

Nyx scrunched up his nose at Jude. "No. I'm not gonna wear them, so there's no point in buying them." he replied, shaking his head.

"Hm, it's a shame," Jude said with a smile, holding the two bags in one hand so he could check his phone for the time, "They're classic. But if not timbs, have you seen any other shoes that you might like to find?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx thought for a moment, then shrugged. "I don't know." He replied, glancing down at his feet. He had borrowed a pair of Jude's, so of course they were the wrong size.

Jude let out hum as he thought, squinting at a sign not too far ahead. "Hmm, maybe we'll take a peep in there?" He suggested, pointing at what seemed to be a high-end shoe store.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx blinked, then nodded. "Okay." He headed inside the store with Jude, a happy little smile printed across his face.

Jude took in his surroundings, breathing in the cool air as his eyes scanned over the shop, looking at the shoes. Some were simple, others were unique with colorfully dyed leather and sleek shapes.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx looked around the shop. "What am I supposed to get?" He asked Jude quietly, raising his eyebrows at him curiously.

"Hm?" Jude said, looking up from a brightly coloured sneaker, loosely gesturing around them, "Anything you think looks cool. You can try 'em on, too."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx blinked a little bit, then nodded. "But my feet look…weird. To other people. Because they're metal." he glanced down at the shoes he was currently wearing.

Jude bit his lip thoughtfully, looking at Nyx's feet for a moment before scanning the room, noting that there were only a few other shoppers. "We could say…they're prosthetics?" He quietly suggested, shrugging, "But…you don't have to try them on, if you don't want to. Just guess, and we can return them if they aren't right."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Nyx sighed quietly, and nodded. "Okay." He replied, shrugging his shoulders a little bit. "I guess we'll figure it out or something."
