Nyx leaned into Jude, closing his eyes and letting out a faint breath. "I just…" he trailed off, not knowing what he could say.

"–You don't have to feel sorry for this," Jude softly told him, gently shaking his head as he held him, "We have time and…people will understand. You're enough; you always will be."

"Are you sure?" Nyx asked quietly, biting his lip as he looked up at Jude, not quite sure if he could believe Jude about this.

Jude nodded, looking into his blue eyes with a soft frown. "Of course," He replied, "I'm sure. I really just hope you believe me, even if you feel…different in a crowd."

He nodded slowly. "Alright. I just…I don't know. I'm sorry." he replied, shrugging his shoulders and fidgeting a little bit.

Jude let out a quiet sigh. "You have nothing to be sorry for," He told him as he pressed a kiss onto his cheek, "And I know I say that a lot– but it's true. It's okay to feel a little mixed up about these things, but it's not your fault."

He looked up at Jude, biting his lip and fidgeting for a moment again. "Are you sure? I'm…I don't know." he didn't know what to do.

"Hm," Jude faintly smiled, running a hand reassuringly through Nyx's dark hair, "Once again; I'm sure."

Nyx leaned into the touch, closing his eyes. "I… alright." He replied slowly, biting his lip.

Jude pressed a soft kiss onto Nyx's cheek. "Okay," He said with a faint nod, "Is there anything else?"

Nyx looked up at him for a moment, then slowly shook his head. "No, I…I think that's it." he replied slowly, swallowing softly.

"M'kay," Jude softly said, smiling at him reassuringly before moving back into his seat, running a hand through his hair and taking a sip of his now lukewarm coffee.

He looked down at the food, taking a deep breath. "What are we doing today?" He asked curiously, looking up at Jude and biting his lip.

"Hm?" Jude sounded around the rime of his mug, setting down his coffee and picking up his knife and fork. "Anything you like," He said with a faint smile, "We could go out and do stuff, or stay in."

Nyx smiled a little. "Can we go to another museum?" he asked, raising his eyebrows and biting his lip shyly. "Please?" he looked down at his food and ate a little bit.

"A museum?" Jude said, taking a bite of his french toast, momentarily looking to the side in thought before smiling. "Sure," He said with a nod, "We can go, but we should probably check online to see which ones are open. Did you have one in mind?"

Nyx nodded, then shook his head. "I don't know anything about them." he replied, taking a bite of his own food. "So…" he shrugged his shoulders, eating some more food and letting out a faint breath.

"Right," Jude nodded, "We might've passed a few when we were driving around, but yeah." He nodded over at his laptop sitting on the couch, "You wanna search for them online, after breakfast? There are a lot."

Nyx nodded excitedly. "Oh, alright!" he replied with a smile, looking up at Jude for a moment, then returning to his food.

Jude smiled, taking another bite of his breakfast. "Mhm," He nodded, glancing at Macy casually wandering by, "The modern art museum and natural history museum are close enough to walk to. Though– we could take the subway, too."

Nyx looked at him. "The subway?" he questioned uncertainly, unsure what the subway was. "What's that? Where…?"

Jude blinked, his arm halfway outstretched towards his mug of coffee. "The…subway," He said, raising his eyebrows a bit, "The subway is like, a system of trains that are underground and go through different parts of the city. They're always running."

Nyx blinked, then nodded. "Oh. Alright." he replied slowly, looking at Jude. He didn't quite understand yet, but he supposed he would later.

"Do you…wanna try riding it?" Jude asked, wearing a faint smile as he took a sip of his coffee, "It's crowded, but there's a good chance of seeing something that'll make you smile. Could be fun, I dunno," He said with a lighthearted shrug.

Nyx nodded again. "Yes please." he replied with a quick little smile, looking up at Jude and biting his lip for a moment, then eating some more.

Jude smiled, nodding as he ate the last few bites of his breakfast. "And after the museum?" He asked, "You wanna come back here or do something else?"

Nyx thought for a moment. "I don't know…it depends on my head." he touched his temple with a finger, biting his lip a little bit.

Jude nodded thoughtfully, letting out a slow breath. "Yeah, for sure," He said, resting his elbows on the table, "If you're not feeling up to staying out, we can totally come home and do something quiet for a bit."

Nyx nodded slightly. "Alright. Thank you." he replied, finishing up his food and looking quietly up at Jude, taking a deep breath.

"So, you wanna find a museum to go to?" Jude asked with a smile, nodding at his laptop resting on the couch as he slowly stood up, getting ready to clear the table.
