Karina shakes her head, lying.

"hmm if you say so.. want to bake some cookies with me and E?"

Karina shakes her head.

"you just want to lay down?"

Karina nods ever so slightly.

"feel better okay?"

Karina smiles.

"and, please dont bottle up your feelings its not healthy"

Karina looks up. "What?"

"dont hide your emotions from your friends. please" he begged her

Karina shakes her head. "I have no clue what your talking about…"

"I don't hide my emotions"

Kane looked her straight in the eye and said "like heck you do"

Karina flinches. "Fine. What do you want to know"

"i dont want to intrude, i just dont want you to hide them"

Karina flinches, but looks up at him, her mug still grasped tightly in her hands, though her hands were burning. "I can't…I have to hide them."

"not with your bestfriends you dont"

Karina pauses. "You wanna know the reason I always act mad around you?"

"sure"

"Because I was raised that way. I was raised knowing if I showed my emotions I would die…I was abused every time I was blank-faced…"

Kane gasped "but, but.."for once he was at a loss for words

Karina looks down at the mug in her hands, thinking her friends would hate her, now that she told them the truth.

Kane hugs her tightly"dont worry, im still your friend"

Karina freezes at the hug, then slowly melts into his hug, hugging him back.

Karina starts crying quietly into his shoulder. "I-I-I'm so sorry…"

"no, no, no. there is nothing to be sorry abut"

"I've been a jerk to you for five years…"
