heartbreaker, dream maker, love taker (closed)

Vampires are struggling to adjust in a world that thinks of them as fairy tales. The three Kinds of vampire are fighting over whether or not to search for the Forever Midnight, an artifact that will bring, well, Forever Midnight. That's it that's the plot I'm sorry I'll explain more as we go along.

The setting is modern, and our characters can be as up to date on current events as you like.

Vampire skill sets:

There are three types of vampires, Blood, Moon, and Sacrifice:

Blood:
Pretty basic. Can fly, feeds on blood, doesn't do well in the sun. Not immortal but close to it with a fancy healing factor slapped on them to last a few thousand years. Spreads vampire curse via biting.

Moon:
Legendary illusionists. Can shapeshift into anything, feeds on physical energy (like, if one is feeding on you you'll get super tired to, in worse cases, comatose), and can go into sunlight without burning but doesn't do well in it and is severely weakened. Healing factor, but regular lifespan. The most common kind. Spreads curse through giving up some of their energy to a person.

Sacrifice:
The rarest kind. These vampires are fully immortal, can shapeshift, fly, and feed on emotions. They can only be killed if their heart is damaged beyond repair. Can go out in sunlight, doesn't do well around religious/spiritual spaces. They can also suck a person's life energy out. Spreads curse by feeding their blood to a person.

Name: Mar Darian-Sanguinem
Age: 23
Gender/Pronouns: Female, she/her
Orientation: Bisexual
Appearance: Mar is gorgeous, even by vampire standards. She has the typical vampire pale, al,ost white skin, and sharp white fangs. But her eyes are a pale purple color, that seem to glow in the dark and are incredibly eerie, and her hair is long and inky black, wavy and down to her waist. She has long eyelashes, a small nose, and blood red lips. She never wears makeup, but looks just fine without it. She’s curvy and has a slender hourglass figure that every girl is jealous of. She has a few scars on her back that she never shows anyone, and a tattoo of thorns creeping up her shoulders and upper arms, as a reminder.
She usually wears dark but revealing clothes, so that she stands out.
Personality: Mar is a little bit vain. Growing up knowing that she was incredibly powerful and superior to humans didn't help matters, so she's a bit arrogant. She loves to be in the spotlight, and is very outgoing and wild. She can make friends pretty easily, but unless you've done something to earn her trust, her loyalties sway easily. She is easily excitable, and is a huge daredevil. She doesn't like to listen to rules, and would prefer to do her own thing. She is super fun to be around, though, and can make up a lot of great games to play. She is very clever, and sarcastic, and is very good at cheering people up. She is lonely, though, not that she'll ever admi it, and insecure. She gets angry easily, and can't hold her temper very well. She is like a fire, blazing out at one moment, and then extinguished the next, and you never know that you need her until she's gone.
Vampire Type: Moon
Fears: Enclosed spaces, the sun, losing the people she loves, being betrayed, being found out by normal humans
Strengths: She is very good at learning new dances, and dancing in general. She is very quick and agile, and with her light stature can often climb trees and balance on wires with no problem. She is good at making friends, and keeping humans from finding out about her friends and family. She can fight very well, and learns new styles very fast. She can make people follow her, and love her, easily.
Weaknesses: She can't control her temper very well. She isn’t very loyal to anyone unless she has reason to trust them. Her abilities aren’t very well controlled, because they are connected to the heart, and she is changing constantly, so that she has to have a seal on her powers. The sun weakens and hurts her, too. Her competitive nature, as well, can be a problem.
Hobbies: She loves fighting and dancing, obviously. It's her happy place. She listens to music when she does those, too. She likes to carve little sculptures out of wood, although that's also something she never shows anyone. She sings in the shower, too… if that counts. She draws occasionally, and fights a lot, learning new styles. She does a lot of daredevil stuff.
Occupation: Vampire, obviously, as well as a temporary actor and a college student
Other: She has a sucky past, but we don’t need to get into that.

Gender/Pronouns: Genderfluid Depends typically either she/her or they/them but occasionally he/him
Orientation: Pan
Appearance: Depends on the day.The constants are their heterchromic eyes, one is green and the other is blue, their tan light brown skin, and their freckles. Most often seen with medium to long black hair often in some type of braid or bun, standing at about 5'6", light weight, flat chested, typically wearing some type of mini dress to long dress with a vest and leggings if she's wearing a mini dress. His other form has shorter often shaggier black hair, stands at about 5'11", a little bit more muscular, and typical wears some type of formal informal wear with the same vest.
Personality: They tend to be either highly uncaring or overly emotional (though they hide that as best they can), depending on how recently they've fed. They tend to be dry and sarcastic along with generally cold to most of the human and vampire populations (It comes with age). However, she will open up if the vampire is of a younger or less entitled breed. Humans are something they more like to observe than she likes to interact with.
Vampire Type: Sacrifice
Fears: At this point, death.
Strength: They're physically strong, and a quick thinker.
Weaknesses: They hold in their emotions until their about to burst and then, and only then, do they let them out. She is quick to judge others based on her first interaction with them.
Hobbies: People watching, some other stuff…. I'm pulling blank okay?
Occupation: Vampire, duh. But they have a few side jobs now and then.

Name: Sol Kinsey, or just Kinsey to most people
Age: They don't know and don't care, but certainly a few thousand years old and they're gonna be annoying about it. Swears they were around during the birth of the universe, but we're not sure how credible that is. Presents as in their late 20's, ish.
Gender/Pronouns: No, and they/them
Orientation: Chaotic bisexual
Appearance: This, because I'm strongly aesthetic attraction oriented:

Personality: Very laid back, but hardly lazy. They're an influential member in the vampire community due to their age, so despite acting chaotic and more than a little eccentric, they're still very mature and their intelligence and wisdom from years of living is… about what you'd expect really, but not. They have a bit of a memory problem and tend to forget things easily, but genuinely care and try to help in whatever ways they can.
Vampire Type: Sacrifice
Fears: Losing the people they love, their time running out, being unable to help people.
Strengths: Their stubbornness, and refusal to back down if someone needs help. This can feel overbearing but it's all love, trust me.
Weaknesses: Their overwhelming hubris and tendency to doubt themself and their abilities when something goes wrong.
Hobbies: Going around, trying to keep the peace.
Occupation: Currently working as an art therapist for adolescents. They like feeding on the negative emotions they have and taking away their client's overwhelming feelings.
Other: All fledgling vampires are expected to report to them at some point, just because of how big of an influence they are. Doesn't have much of a sense of boundaries, and will sometimes feed on other vampires' emotions or life force. Has never created another vampire. Against the Forever Midnight.

More vampire lore: Sacrifice vampires have a one in a hundred chance of making more Sacrifice vampires, otherwise it will result in a 15% chance of Blood and a 85% chance of Moon.

There are two sides to the current discussion of the Forever Midnight, for or against. All Blood vampires are for it, most Moon have positive feelings, and Sacrifice vampires can go either way depending on how they feel about humanity.

It's not a full on war yet, but members of both sides are trying to either stop the Forever Midnight or make it happen and when they cross paths, it gets bloody real fast.
