Okay. The first criticism is what makes this world different from others like it.

That was one of the problems I ran into, I debated makeing an item that only the high class has that gives immortality but ended up scrapping it.

The feeling of want, need from the lower classes that make them desperate to the point that they'd do anything, sorry if that sounds very intense.

That I can see being a problem with power. Maybe you could do smaller enhancements instead.

That would work really well. Not overpowering, but definitely better.

Okay I'm not very good at world building but here it goes.
Have you seen the Force Awakens and Thor: Ragnarok? If so, Sakaar and Jaku (especially Sakaar) Are examples of how the upper class is using people. Also, Hunger Games. If you wan to drain the hope and life out of someone or something, you need to take what they've made or earned through hard work and use it for yourself. Ya know?
If you're looking for cool landscape I can try and help with that too.
