"Alexa Arias, eleventh grade." She said to the assistant at the desk. The woman directed her towards the stairs and told her the second floor would have her classroom. She liked coming early on the first day, then she could see how people looked like before they saw her.
Anne walked into the school. She came early so that she wouldn't have to interact with her new foster family. she had been staying with them for two weeks but said 4 sentences to them. 2 of those sentences had been "I don't care." Anne had been forced to go to orientation last week so she knew that she'd find her advisory on the 2nd floor. She had tripped on the last step, causing her to bump into the girl who was standing at the top. luckily she caught herself before either of them fell. "Sorry," she muttered under her breath before continuing to walk.

Chase walked to school, Kemp and Jacob following him like vultures.
“Are you excited for your first day at school, hon?” Kemp mocked.
“I’m sure he thinks the mere thought of it tastes wonderful!” Jacob added with taunting cheeriness. Chase kept his head down, and kept walking up the school steps.
“Or maybe,” Kemp paused with a grin that was pure evil, “Little Chase Gay-man wants a boyfriend!”
Chase turned a bright red and mumbled, “It-It’s pronounced go-man.”
Kemp hooked his arm around Chase’s neck, and if anyone else saw it would’ve been a friendly gesture, “What was that, Gay-man?”
“I- I’m Chase Goeman. P-Please stop,” He tried to shrink away, but Jacob came around on his other side.
“P-Please stop” Jacob parroted, “Why, does it sound sour to you?”
Kemp shoved him into a locker with a laugh, and him and Jacob left, “See ya, Gay-man!”
Chase situated his glasses back onto his nose and shamefully walked to his locker.

as Anne continued to walk down the hall she sees a boy being shoved into a locker. She heard one of the boys say something about "gay' she wasn't sure if she should stay clear of the jerks or pick a fight. I guess it depends on how long she decides to stay at the school. she doesn't wont to be kicked out yet so she just walks to her locker which just so happens to be next to the boy who was shoved. she glanced at him, her face showed no emotion. he seemed like a typical geek. But still seemed attractive enough to be popular among the smart kids. guess he was targeted for being gay. oh well, just another school where she'll have to try her best to stay in the closet.

Alexa climbed the stairs and onto the second floor. She took out the little piece of paper the front desk lady gave her and made her way to her locker. When she got there, she could see four people already there. So much for being early. She struggles with her locker and sees a girl two lockers down from her effortlessly opening hers. She thinks about asking for help but then realizes that she doesn't want to be known as the girl that couldn't open a locker on the first day, so she did it on her own. After 16 tries she got the combination right.

Chase opened his locker, not daring make eye contact with the girl next to him. The whole situation just felt yellow, Chase thought. He needed to stop doing that, stop it with the colors, and the tastes, and the way emotions felt. He just needed to learn to be normal. He tapped his foot. Maybe he could even try to date a girl? No… He would just be faking it and leading someone on. Chase sighed and grabbed his books out of his locker.

Alexa headed to her homeroom. Ready to see the students she would be spending the rest of her junior year with.
Anne put her attention back to her locker. She put half her binders and books in it since she planned on getting them after lunch. she then closed the locker but she closed it a little too hard causing it to slam shut, she flinched and jumped back slightly at the sound, but she quickly recovered. she hoped no one saw her show weakness. she really had to stop being so jumpy.
Chase glanced at the girl from the corner of his eye after he heard the locker slam. Was that a threat? Was she going to join the Kemp-Jacob squad after school too after what she heard? Chase kept his head down and walked in the other direction, towards his homeroom.

Anne saw the boy leave. he seemed a little upset. She would talk to him and ask whats wrong but that would make it seem like she cared and she most certainly did not. So instead she made herself forget about the boy and walk to homeroom.

Alistair walked down the hallway, waving to people he knew, sometimes stopping to talk. He looked at his phone to double check his homeroom before making his way there. On his way, he passed by the music room where he paused and gazed longingly at the guitars, before shaking his head, and continuing on his way.
Once he arrived at his homeroom, he sat down, put on his headphones, and took the chance to observe his classmates.
Next to him was a boy he had never seen before.
'Maybe I should say hi…? Yeah, why not.'
Putting his headphones around his neck and turning to the boy, he smiled and held out his hand,
"Hey, I'm Alistair. I haven't seen you around before, what's your name?"

Vaughn walked down the hallway, a slight exhausted look in his eyes. He hadn’t got much sleep the previous night, worry keeping him awake. There was nothing he should be worried about, though. It was only school- nothing could go wrong there. He mentally repeated that over and over, just to distract himself. He arrived at his locker eventually, shifting through his backpack and taking things out to put inside of the locker. He brushed away hair that fell over his eye, jaw clenched a tad. He thought of his foster sister for a moment, frowning to himself now. She didn’t seem to be getting along with the parents, and he hadn’t made much of an attempt to talk to her. He couldn’t blame her- those people were absolute idiots. He had been acting up a lot recently, just to push them to the point to where they couldn’t handle him anymore. But he was fine with it, he would just move to another home.
Next to him was a boy he had never seen before.

“I- Well, I guess it’s not bad. I don’t really care for rap much though,” Chase mumbled awkwardly, wringing his hands in his lap. The guy seemed nice enough. Maybe they could be friends…? No, Chase was too awkward and strange.

Yano ran up the steps, stumbling over them. She found the locker after what felt like forever and shoved all her stuff in there, despite her needing supplies, ‘Late the first day of school. Great job, Yano,’ Yano thought to herself as she ran through the halls, trying to find her homeroom. She glanced at her phone to check which room it was, realizing she had just passed it. Yano sprinted to the room and opened the door. She sat behind two boys who were talking.

"Yeah, I don't like rap by itself, but there are some songs I like that have, like, a rap verse or something," Alistair replied enthusiastically. Music was his safe place and realm of expertise, and he was happy to talk to someone about it. Noticing Chase's nervousness, Alistair's face morphs into one of concern.
"Hey, are you okay, dude?"
