Cicada smiled and nodded, "It's fine. Are you adjusting well?"

Vincent held up his hands, "I wouldn't invade your personal belongings, Also." He tossed a broken calculator to Alice, "Do you think you could do something about that? the model's not easy to come by and I've had it sense forever, I can pay you if you want I just really love that thing."

"I-I guess… I like being able to use my powers without getting-" hit. "-in trouble."

Cicada nodded and smiled, “It is nice isn’t it?”

"You have no idea." That slipped out. Evie covered her mouth in horror.

Cicada was starting to peice a puzzle together. She simply chose to keep smiling, “Oh I might.”

"H-How would you know?"

“Fifteen foster homes,” Cicada said emphasizing the number, “Every one of them hated me.”

Aeraphina squinted, smiling uncomfortably. Having been the only one she knew who actually grew up on the island surrounded by fellow superhero folk, hearing the tales of outsiders not so accepting of superheroes didn't keep her in the best mood.

Evie looked down, where her powers swirled in her lap.

Vincent popped up into the conversation, He had left Alice and come back in time to here what they were talking about. "I was never really discriminated against because of my powers, in fact my parents thought they would be great for marketing they thought they could sell my powers like they did weapons and jewelry. They're problem was I just wasn't smart enough or, perfect enough and I just wouldn't let them sell my powers like it was something they had control over."

Aeraphina clicked her tongue and just decided to start eating, knowing it wasn't her place to be in this conversation.

Evie stayed silent. She wasn't about to spill her personal past to these people.

Vincent gave Aeraphina a knowing look, "Basically what we're trying to say is you would be surprised at what you find at this school, I mean You're right we probably don't have any idea, you've probably been through some terrifying stuff It's in your eye's I don't need mind powers to tell. Any way onto a lighter subject Cicada you will be happy to hear that Aeraphina and I have agreed on something."

Aeraphina looked up suddenly, raising an eyebrow. "We have…?"

Vincent nodded dramatically

Evie glanced up, her lips pressed together tightly.

"We!" He paused dramatically, "Enjoy the same flavor of chip!" he ended with a flourish

Aeraphina blinked, opening her mouth to respond and then just ended up laughing. "Yeah, I guess we have," she said after she calmed down.
