"Um excuse me, do you have any good reading suggestions. I need to bring a book back to my common room, i told my cousin i was getting a book and cant come back empty handed" Marie said walking up to two people, not sure of who they are, but they seem to be talking about animagi.

She sighed, walking out of the library and clutching the book to her chest. Elizabeth didn't quite want to go back to the Hufflepuff common room, afraid that she'd walk in during a fight. She hurried off to the portrait of a bowl of fruit by the common room, looking around to make sure no one was there. Elizabeth tickled the pear on the portrait and it opened up, the smell of pudding wafting from inside. She walked inside the kitchen, shutting the painting behind her.
Ailyn looked up to see Malfoy's cousin. *what was her name? *
"Try Hogwarts: A history. Not enough people read it."
Fitzy smirked at Ailyn's response, "Nerd," she said with a laugh, then looked up to the girl. "If you want actually interesting material, I'd suggest Quidditch Through the Ages. That's a classic. Although I can recite the whole thing to you right here if you'd like."
"Okay thanks. i might have read it few years ago but i'm not sure." she rushed off to the shelf and found it easily seeing as there were at least 30 copies. She took the book over ti the desk got it checked out by and rude librarian and rushed back towards the dungeons not wanting to keep Draco waiting.

House Elves busily walked around her, preparing for the next meal. She smiled and walked over to one of the benches and sat down, reading through the book. Elizabeth loved to come here to study and read.

Rey approached the Slytherin common room and reluctantly said the password. "Mudblood," he murmured. The words felt dry and rough in his mouth. The door swung open, and he walked inside to a mostly empty common room. A few girls played Exploding snap by the fireplace, and there were a few others gathered around a table, studying transfiguration, but that was all.
She had grabbed both books and said "thanks agin" when she rushed past the two people, on her way out
"No problem." she called after her. The librarian shushed her.
Ailyn turned back to Fitzy,"Did you see that Slytherin with the Hufflepuff? That's a suprise. Seems like Slytherins keep to themselves most days. I'm suprised that a Slytherin actually talked to us."

After a few minutes, Elizabeth stood up and left the kitchen with her book. She walked passed a two Ravenclaws, one of which was covered in bruises and had a black eye. She shook her head, disappointed as she made her way to the common room. Elizabeth knocked on the barrels and walked inside, immediately heading to her room.
"She ran most of the way and only slowed when at the door of the common room" she spat out the password and cringing as she does every time she says the awful word. walking in she sees Draco no where and neither of his friends around either. "Great running for no reason' she thought and sat in a chair in the middle of the room, as it was practically reserved for Draco and his friends… and herself, because she was Draco's cousin. She started reading her books and taking notes for classes, as per teacher instructions.
Ailyn got up and strectched, "Should we go back to the Tower to study, Fitzy?"
Fitz nodded, "I know. Hogwarts these days just isn't the same. It used to e fun rivalry but now even within houses, there are quarrels all the time. Did you hear the argument last night in the common room? I woke up at 1:30 to the sounds of shouting. Apparently it was some lovers bicker, but it sure pissed me off. I'm about ready to go live in the kitchens. At least the house elves are nice." She yawned, "yeah, I'm pooped. This animagi stuff will have to be dealt with tomorrow. I have potions to work on."

Rey took off his robe and untucked his shirt, then grabbed some parchment to start working on a letter to write to his parents. His cat, Bast, rubbed against his leg as he was trying to concentrate. He reached down to scratch her ears as he dipped his quill in ink the first time before starting to write.
Ailyn nodded, "Luna didn't return after Christmas break. I hope she's alright."
As they rounded the corner, they were met by Aidan Smith and Callie Corden, fellow Ravenclaws. To Ailyn's alarm, Aidan was covered in bruises and had a black eye.

Elizabeth shoved her book under her bed where her trunks were. She sighed, falling onto her bed. She already heard bickering downstairs.
Marie sat and waited on the boys for a while but eventually got bored and headed up for the night. Taking one last look around the common room, she didn't see Draco and assumed he went up to bed already, "That arse" she thought and headed up to her bed and got into her pajamas. she stayed up and thought about ways to get Goyle to stop creeping on her. And eventually fell asleep with no blankets over her
Fitzy frowned. The thought of the sweet girl made her nauseous, too much innocence and positivity, but she'd oddly missed the humming and skipping. The Claw in front of them didn't look too good, "who was it this time?" she asked, definite concern in her voice. Her own bruises still stung, but they'd faded.
Marie awoke to a girl in her year shaking her awake, "Wake up, you cousin is asking for you in the common room".
"erm okay thanks she said grabbing a knit blanket and socks from her trunk. she pulled on the socks and wrapped the blanket around her realizing how incredibly cod she was. and walked to the common room, knowing perfectly well Draco is going to yell at her for not waiting up for him.

Rey was in the middle of writing when Bast jumped up on the table and knocked over his inkwell. Rey quickly pulled it back upright before it got everywhere, even though a lot had already spilled. He looked at the cat tensely. "I really hate you sometimes. It's a good thing you're cute." Bast meowed. Rey mocked her by meowing back. He cleaned up the ink with a simple incantation and a flick of his wand.
Callie swore under her breath before speaking up, "It was Goyle and Crabbe. cornered him up on the 3rd floor."
"Oh dear!" Ailyn sighed. "Callie, go tell Pro. Flitwick. Fitzy and I will take him to madam Pomfrey."

In only a few minutes, Elizabeth fell asleep.

Fitzy's eyebrows lowered as she took Aidan's arm, "I'm going to kill those damn Slytherins, I swear it. This school is bad enough as it is. We don't need students roughing each other up, too." Her nostrils flared and the flame tattoo on her wrist grew a little, creating a warm spot on her skin. Usually she calmed her breathing whenever she felt it, but Crabbe and Goyle had beat up one too many kids for her to care.
Marie walked into the common room and he started yelling on the spot. saying things like "you should have waited for us' and so on. she finally had enough and started yelling back for once, shocking him. "Let me be, i waited for you for ages and you didn't come. probably bothering someone i assume. don't yell at me and try to make me feel small. a lots going on right now and i don't need any of this from you. have a nice night"
Ailyn glanced at Fitzy, "Calm down. Now is not the time to go beating them up. We happen to have a biased head-matser right now."
she spun around and Draco caught her arm. "No. i'm sorry but no. you're going to sit her with us for a while and talk." "Actually Mr. Malfoy you wont. i just got word that you children were beating people up again."I want all four of you to come with me to my office so we can discuss you punishment right this moment" Prof. Snape said with a sneer. and we all followed him out to his office, even though i had done nothing and wasn't even with them all afternoon.
"Snape can fly his broomstick straight into a dragon's cave for all I care. If Crabby and Boil think they can kick somebody's arse because they're Slytherins, they've got another thing coming. Ailyn, can you take Aidan to the hospital wing? I've got something to take care of in the basement." Her flame grew hot, it's flame licking the base of her hand.

"Fitzy, since I clearly can't stop you, please be careful."
She stopped a moment and smiled at Ailyn, "thanks." With a dramatic swoop of her cloak, Fitzy turned on her heel and raced down the hall, descending to the dungeon with inhuman speed. Just as she was reaching the dark, damp corridors, Fitz spotted none other than Professor Snape leading her victims away from the common room.
