"I'm sorry, it's fun," she said, staring down at the people who seemed to be shrinking below her. "Don't you think this is at least a little bit fun?"

"Not really," he responded, looking upwards instead of down. "It's just an elevator."

"Well, I've never been in one before. It's pretty cool." She tried to brush it off by acting cool but there was still a big grin plastered on her face.

"You're like a child, I swear," he said, shooting a small smile over to her. "I just wish this damn thing would hurry up."

The elevator opened up to a huge living room area with couches and sparkling crystal floors. "Woah.." Wren marveled, stepping off the elevator. "It's huge. We're gonna be spending the next week here?"

"This could fit 3 of my houses," he agreed stepping out of the elevator and looking around. "This I can accept you giggling about."

Wren rolled her eyes, plopping down on a blue couch. "You may think I'm like a child, but I'm my opinion you act way too old. Why don't you have some fun once in a while? Laugh a little."

"I laugh plenty," he said sitting down into one of the recliners. "Just not in front of people."

"So you just laugh to yourself, in your room?" She teased. "That's kind of weird."

"Say the one giggling about an elevator," he shot back, leaning back in the seat and kicking the leg rest up.

She rolled her eyes again. "Whatever. At least I'm not a creep who laughs all by myself."

"You already repeated that," he said, folding his arms under his head and closing his eyes.

Wren stood up and started towards one of the two bedrooms. "I've got to change out of this thing." She came back fifteen minutes later, showered and all of her makeup wiped off, wearing a simple shirt and leggings, and no shoes. She curled up on the couch, laying her head down.

He seemed comfortable in his suit, but he opened one eye when she walked back out of the bathroom. "Want me to get you a pillow?"

"No, no I'm fine," she murmured, though she was drifting off, her eyes closed.

"How about you go to bed?" he suggested, closing the leg rest and getting up out of the chair.

Wren shrugged. "Maybe I will." She didn't want to admit that she wanted to stay out here with him. She got up, rubbing her eyes. "G'night, blueberry hair."

"Goodnight, Watermelon girl," he said, walking over to his own room and shutting the door.

She smiled, her cheeks tinted a rosy pink, and entered her bedroom. It would be a long day tomorrow, her first day of training, and she wanted to rest as much as possible. She closed her door, collapsing onto her bed and shutting off the lights.

When she woke up the next morning, Kaz was already awake and back in the recliner, dressed in a simple pair of athletic shorts and a tank top. He stared off at a wall, not noticing her walk out of her room until she came into his field of vision.

"Good morning," she yawned, settling on the couch beside him. She was dressed in running shorts and a t-shirt. "You ready for training?"

"Been ready for a few hours, actually." He got out of the chair, rubbing his hair and frowning. "Still can't believe they forced me to dye my hair."

"You'll get used to it." She leaned back. "You think you can teach me to fight?" She asked.

person_off

"Most likely," he said, beginning to do preliminary stretches so he wouldn't pull anything when he was training. "It isn't as hard as everyone makes it seem."

(Oh, no, it''s Gravy Bones)

(Alright then XD)
Wren mimicked him, standing and stretching her arms. "I've gotten in a few fights before, but I didn't really know what I was doing. And what about you? You said you've been fighting your whole life, who have you fought?"

"You know the Joenah boys that lived up that hill near the wheat fields?" He asked, referring to a set of triplets that were known for their rowdy nature and bad attitudes.

"God, I hate them! Did you beat them up?" Her eyes seemed to sparkle as she looked up at him.

"I think I fought that whole family at least twice," he said, looking up at the ceiling as he thought. "They tried to steal some of out bags of grain a couple times. For what reason, I don't know."

Wren snorted. "The whole family? I would have liked to see that." she bent her knee, holding on to her ankle and pulling it up to her body.
