Corbin took the menu. “What breakfast foods do you like?” He asked as he skimmed over it.
"Uh… I dunno… Really anything edible." He forces a paining smirk, rubbing his chest. His 'heart' had throbbed painfully. He blinks hard and the shadows clear slightly. He still couldn't see much but it was getting better.

Corbin nodded his head slowly. “How about pancakes?” He asked.
Alright." Matrix shrugs with a sigh. He then tries to suppress a cough and his neck veins glow eerily. He winces as the essence burns its way back down his neck. He looks up at where he thought Corbin was (he was off to the left again), praying he didn't notice.

Corbin had noticed and frowned a tad. “Are you okay? Is your heart bothering you?” He asked in a slightly lowered tone.
Matrix surpresses a burp and nods, "Yeah… Sorry… Of all times. I know."

Corbin straightened a bit and resisted the urge to hold Matrix’s hand. “Don’t apologize to me for that, okay? It’s not your fault,” he soothed gently.
"Stop being nice." Matrix hisses, "I'm supposed to be 'your pet.'" He smirks with air quotations

Corbin gave a slight sigh as he ran a hand through his hair. “Fine, okay,” he said levely, leaning back in his seat as he glanced away.
Matrix smirks and yawns. He rests the side of his head on the table. His horn stubs scratching it.

The waiter eventually came back, and glared at Matrix. “What would you like, sir?” He addressed Corbin. He ordered, but also made a point of ordering for Matrix, staring hard at the man as he did so. “You’re going to.. feed it?” The waiter asked in a confused tone.
“Of course I will. H-. It is my prize fighter, and I have to keep it strong,” he answered levely.
Matrix snorts, sitting up and turning away to hide his laughter fit.

“Mouth shut,” Corbin snapped at Matrix. He hated having to say this stuff to the other, but he had to play the part. The waiter eventually stepped away.
Matrix snaps his mouth shut but he couldn't keep the suppressed, "Sorry…"

Corbin glared at Matrix for the time that people were watching, but his expression softened right away afterwards. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled.
Matrix's smile wilts and he slups
Matrix's smile wilts and he slups back in his chair, "Nah. It's fine. Really I should be saying sorry, Cor."

Corbin shook his head a bit. He did smile a tad at the new nickname. “Don’t worry about it, Matrix.”
"Huh. Right." Matrix crosses his arms and stares blindly at the table.

Corbin nudged Matrix’s foot gently under the table. “Lighten up, alright? It’s okay,” he hummed.
Matrix stamps hard on the foot, "Not now it's not." He snaps back in a whisper.

Corbin flinched when Matrix stepped on his foot, his nerves singing with a bit of anxiety. He chose not to respond, and instead looked away as he breathed slowly.
Matrix flopped again and rests his chin on the table. He closes his eyes and sighs deeply.

After a few mintes, the waiter came back with their food. Corbin thanked him, and the waiter walked away.
Matrix pats the table for the food to locate it,"Well. It smells good."

Corbin nodded his head. “Mhm. Eat up,” he hummed. He put a fork to use in Matrix’s hand before picking up one of his own.
Matrix stabs the table once before he found the plate and starts to eat.

Corbin had watched Matrix for a moment. He then started to eat his foos, foot tapping on the floor as he did so.
"So… What are going to do after this?" Matrix says through a mouthful of food, "And this is really good."
