“I know I know. But I don’t want you getting fired or yelled at.” She murmured, placing her hands in her lap
Asher laughed. "My father may not like me very much sometimes, but he wouldn't fire me from his own company." He replied, shaking his head a little.

She nodded gently and tapped her fingers together. “Then can we go and visit the neighbor?”
He nodded. "Yeah, sure. Like I said earlier, she's a sweet older woman. Loves company." She loved it when Peri and I visited…

“I can’t wait to meet her.” She murmured, smiling happily as she stared out the window.
"Mhm." Asher agreed as he drove. "She'll tell you stories about anything and everything she's ever seen. You just have to ask." he said with a soft laugh.

“What has she seen?” Asked the curious female, her eyes wide. “What sorts of things?”
"Well, she's old. So…history." he replied with a soft laugh. "I don't know. Anything and everything you can think of."

"Has she been to other places?" Her eyes widened considerably more. "Could she tell me about other places?! I've only ever been out of this town once or twice and even then it was for buisness purposes."
He smiled. "Yes, she has. I'm sure she would be willing to tell you about them if you ask nicely." he winked, chuckling softly.

Arabella grinned at him and gently poked his shoulder. “I’m always nice.” She defended, winking at him.
Asher chuckled. "Oh? Always?" He replied, a sideways grin snaking onto his face. "Is that so?"

She lifted her chin and puffed up her chest, grinning back at him. However she was weary, knowing he was going to tease her in some way. A soft laugh fell from her lips, amusement in her eyes. “Always. It is so. I’m the best at being nice.”
Asher raised an eyebrow, smiling. "Always? You've never ever ever been mean ever in your entire life?" He asked, grinning.

She shook her head and laughed. "Nope! Never ever." She teased back, holding back her soft giggles. "I've always been nice."
He looked at her sternly. "Hmm. Should I believe you?" He asked, a grin sneaking onto his face even as he tried to suppress it.

“Of course! Would I ever lie~?” Her eyes flashed mischievously as she stared back st him.
He shrugged, returning his attention to the road. "I don't know, would you?" He chuckled softly.

She smiled and kicked her legs playfully out. “Nah. Not to you.”
"But to other people?" He arched an eyebrow, laughing softly.

“Mm depends on the person.” She admitted, grinning.
He chuckled. "Mm. I see." He laughed softly, still driving as he headed back to their neighborhood.

Arabella laughed softly to herself, her fingers looping together as she tried to find something to distract herself with. “Asher…? Can we always be like today? Can we both be like we are today?”
Asher blinked. "I…would enjoy that." He replied slowly. "So yeah. We can." He smiled a little.

She let a smile grace her lips once more. It hid something much more excited and overjoyed. Arabella liked how they had flirted and enjoyed each other’s company. It felt nice. “Thank you!”
Asher grinned. "You're welcome." He replied as he turned down their street. "So, neighbors?" He asked.

“Yes, neighbors.” She confirmed with a nod. Her eyes lingered on the road as she slowly turned her head towards him.
Asher nodded. He drove down the street, though not for as long as he usually did, and turned down a winding little driveway. There were trees on either side, and the driveway opened up into a small parking area, in front of a neat little Victorian style house.
