He grinned, watching her. "If you want or need anything else, let me know." He told her, sending her "😊".
“I can’t love you...” Reposting this here (O/O|Romance|Closed|)

“I will!” She said happily, giggling again at his message. She couldn’t pull herself together enough to send one back, too excited as she pulled him into a hug. “Thank you Asher.”
He froze for a moment, then hugged her back. He smiled lightly. "You're welcome, Arabella." He replied. "And you're welcome to give your number to anyone. I don't care." He told her. "Obviously be careful, I wouldn't want a predator or rapist or someone getting to you, but…" He shrugged slightly.

She pulled away and nodded firmly. “I understand. I will be careful. I would never be put in that situation either… I’m never going to look for another man.”
He nodded. "Alright." He said. "Also, do you want the WiFi password?" He questioned, realizing that it might be a good idea to connect her to the WiFi. The phone had unlimited data, sure, but it would be faster on WiFi.

She beamed and nodded, offering him her phone for the WiFi. She was so used to having her dad do it so she couldn’t know that it was just common sense to her.
He took the phone, and opened up the WiFi, making sure she could see what he was doing, and put in the passcode, then handed the phone back to her. "There you go."

She watched nervously, relaxing when he handed her back her phone with no yelling. “Thank you, Asher. I appreciate it.” She mumbled, stretching out and groaned.
"You're welcome." He replied with a small smile. "If you have any questions about anything, let me know and I'll show you how." He said, yawning softly.

She nodded, looking at him as he yawned. “Take a nap, I’ll wake you up in time for the dinner.” She told him firmly. “Besides, I have more painting to do.”
He nodded. "Alright." He stood up. "Good luck." He gave her a gentle smile, and headed upstairs to their bedroom, flopping down onto the bed with a soft sigh.

She flashed him a small smile, moving up to the room with him to change into her painting clothes once more. She did so in the bathroom. She didn’t say anything, only changed and left. Truth be told, she was debating not waking him up. But that wouldn’t be wise of her, so she shoved that urge down and set an alarm to go up and tell him.
He fell asleep rather quickly, laying splayed out on his stomach. His black hair fell into his face slightly, as his head was turned to the side so e could breathe.

She had nearly finished painting a planet when the alarm went off. She glanced at it and groaned, stepping down and cleaning up quickly.
Arabella made her way into the bedroom, looking at his sleeping face. She sighed, groaning softly as she looked over his handsome face. Why did he have to be so… him. she wanted to be unhappy in their relationship. She didn’t want him. And as harsh as that was, it was the truth.
Asher had rolled over, one arm draped over his face slightly. He looked peaceful, and younger, when he was asleep, the worry and memories that usually haunted his eyes gone. Mainly because they were closed, but still. His lips twitched for a moment, dreaming. He didn't even wake up when Arabella came in the room, and probably wouldn't wake up unless he was shaken.

Arabella got herself ready, changing just to give him a little bit more rest. He had time and he looked peaceful. That and she didn’t want to face him… she couldn’t. Her thoughts were turned to dark things.
Eventually she shook him awake, calling his name softly.
Asher sat up quickly, blinking and rubbing his face. "Hmm?" he grumbled. "'s it time to get ready already?" he asked, glancing at the clock. He sighed, and stretched, then got out of bed. "Oh. You're already ready." he said, looking at her. "Thank you for waking me up."

She nodded, hugging herself. She had dressed herself nicely: her locks of auburn hair had been forced into tight curls that bounced as she turned her head; The tight dress she wore (picked out by her father) was a stunning emerald, matching her eyes and complexion beautifully; she had made herself taller with a pair of heels, just enough so she could reach Asher’s face better; she smelled of rose and sandalwood, a scent that lingered heavily in her hair, masking her natural vanilla.
Arabella stepped back, her eyes fixated on him. “Yes… I got ready earlier. I hope it’s alright.”
He gave her a gentle smile. "Yes, that's fine." he said. "Let me get ready, and we can head out, alright?" he went into his closet, and pulled out a suit, then compared his ties until he found one the same color as her dress. He came out with the clothing over his arm, then went into the bathroom and changed, shaving and combing his hair. He also used some cologne, before coming out and giving her a small smile. "Ready to go?"

She sat on the edge of the bed as she waited for him, grinding her teeth. When he came out of the bathroom she sighed, nodding ever so softly. “Yes… lets go.” She didn’t like the idea of pretending to be in love with him but she had no choice. Especially in front of his mother…
Asher sighed softly, and headed downstairs, then out the door, to the car. He got in, and waited for her, humming softly as he started the car up so they could leave.

She followed suit, biting her lip as she climbed into the car. She had a bad habit of biting her lip when she felt any emotion. “So, what business are we attending to? How much contact do you want me to make with you?”
He started driving. "Well… it's more of a family dinner, but with business partners." He replied after a moment. "So…I'm not sure." He sighed softly. "Definitely at least hand holding as we come in, and some kisses at appropriate moments."
group
She nodded softly, tilting her head. “Alright. Sounds simple enough.” She murmured, sighing and rubbing out her palms. She was stressed.
He nodded, still driving. "Yeah. It could be worse, right?" He shrugged slightly. "Also, my parents are really strict about phones. So don't have your phone out or even on the table during dinner. They'll flip out."
group
She nodded carefully. “No phone got it. I won’t even mention it.” She flashed him a reassuring look. “So… What is your mother like during these dinners?” The woman had been a little cold towards her during the wedding but all mothers were.
He shrugged. "She is…distant. She and my father love each other, but…well. They are not mates. They each have had multiple affairs. It's a rocky marriage. She will either ignore you, be an overbearing mother in law, or pretend she absolutely adores you and you're the sweetest thing on Earth." She ignored Peri. Every time. Or she would shoot him poisonous looks.
group
“That’s unfortunate… I’m sorry to hear that.” She murmured, slightly wondering if that would be how they turned out… would she be going off with multiple males just to satisfy her needs? Would he end up with his own affairs? She shuddered and closed her eyes. “W-we won’t go after other people right…?”
Asher shrugged. "I…" he sighed softly. "Hopefully not, no." he tapped his fingers on the steering wheel for a moment. "It's an open secret at the company that my father has…a few children not by my mother. I would prefer not to end up like him." he sighed softly. His half siblings weren't included in the will, and were not part of the company. They simply…existed. He had met all of them at least once.
group
Arabella nodded softly. She didn’t want to end up like that. Now she desperately wished she had found her own ‘mate.’ But did humans even had mate’s? She knew elves did… “Hey, how do you know you’ve met your mate?”
