When Asa heard Ashera's voice, she shuffled closer, resting her head on Ashera's stomach with a light chirp. She bobbed her head slightly at the question, resting against Ashera happily.
Ashera smiled at how affectionate Asa was and began petting the top of the Dragon’s head. ”I don't think I should have any customers today unless something urgent comes up.” she thought out loud. ”But when we go shopping for you later, I do have a few items I’ll need to pick up as well.”
group
Asa purred slightly when Ashera rubbed her head, pushing against that hand. She smiled, content to listening to Ashera talking.
Ashera was in no hurry to get up this morning so she moved her hand carefully around Asa’s head, neck, and shoulders even near her wings, testing where Asa liked being pet the most.
group
Asa leaned into all of the petting, but when Ashera's hand touched the base of her wings, she hummed loudly, pushing into the touch.
Ashera smiled rubbing into that spot more, but still gently. ”Did I find one of your soft spots?” she teased sitting up more.
(Happy Birthday!!!! 🎉🎂🎁)

(Thank qeu!)
Asa gave a small house chirp. She herself had a hard time reaching that spot, and it felt so good.
Ashera continued petting between Asa’s wings for a few minutes longer before she sat up. ”Alright girl. I think it's time we actually got up for the day. I’ll make us some of that fruit and berry bowl for breakfast.” she smiled.
group
Asa nodded, leaping down to the floor gracefully. She fluttered her wings once, chirping.
Ashera threw her covers aside and got out of the bed, opting to stay barefoot. ”Race you to the kitchen?” she offered mischievously.
group
Asa planted her front paws in the ground and leaned back, much like a playful dog. She let out a chirp in response, and booked it out of the room.
Ashera laughed quickly giving chase, honestly not expecting to win. As tempting as it was, she wasn't going to call Asa a cheater.

Finally, Asa skidded to a halt in the kitchen, bumping her head slightly against a cupboard. She shook her head, turning to the entrance and giving a loud victorious chirp.
Ashera slid into the room a couple of steps behind Asa but managed to stop and not trip over the Dragon. ”Good race, Asa!” she laughed heartily. ”Well, loser makes breakfast.” The Fae winked, gathering the ingredients and starting some tea for herself.
group
Asa leaped up onto the counter, as if she were trying to help.
Ashera raised a brow. ”You want to help me heat some water?” she asked holding the tea kettle. It was the only thing she could think of that Asa would be able to help with since she doubted that the Dragon could hold a kitchen knife.
group
Asa bobbed her head up and down in excitement. She ducked her head under the kettle, and with a puff let out a stream of flame. Within a few seconds, the water was boiling.
”Thank you, sweetheart.” Ashera smiled gratefully. She poured the hot water into her mug and let the tea steep as she cut up the fruit for the two of them. Though she did slide a whole strawberry to Asa as a treat.
group
(Sorry! My dad made me stay off for a day.)
Asa sniffed the strawberry, picking it up in her mouth with a smile. She snapped down, slicing the strawberry in half. She swallowed the half in her mouth, then nudged the other half to Ashera.
Ashera was mildly surprised by the unexpected gesture but accepted the offered half. ”Thank you, Asa. That's very sweet of you.” she smiled and ate the piece of fruit before returning to making their breakfast. Placing the bowl in front of Asa, she stroked the Dragon’s head sweetly.
group
Asa purred, happy. She leaned into Ashera's touch for a moment before turning to her food. She started to eat slowly, careful not to eat too much at once.
Ashera just couldn't stop smiling as she ate her own breakfast, watching Asa the whole time. She had had no idea that a Dragon could be so cute.
group
Finishing off her bowl, Asa licked the bottom slightly, lapping up some of the leftover juices from the fruit. Satisfied, Asa leapt off of the counter, rubbing herself slightly against Ashera's leg.
Ashera finished her food and crouched down to pet Asa, giggling to herself. She’s so affectionate. … Maybe… ”Let’s see, I have my list for shopping, but you’ll have to help me pick out what kind of meat you like. I'm a vegetarian but I do know how to cook meat.” She admitted.
group
Asa leaned into Ashera's touch, as usual, nodding her head. Sometimes, she wished she could just change forms and talk to her owners, but then she would be in danger. No matter who her owner was, they would always have to turn her in.
”And you seem to be quite the cuddler… I’ll let you decide if I should get you your own bed or if you would prefer to just share with me.” Ashera continued.
group
Asa knew exactly which one she was going to pick. She didn't need her own bed, she needed to snuggle. She rubbed up against Ashera's leg again, humming.
Ashera smiled. ”I had a feeling you’d say that.” she chuckled as she stood up. ”I just need to get changed for the day and we can go. Silly human laws.” she muttered still smiling as she placed their dishes in the sink. ”They really don't know as much as they think.”
group
Asa nodded, perhaps more so than she should have. Humans thought they owned the world, that they knew what was natural and unnatural. It was wrong, how they were trying to change the natural order to fit their needs and agendas.
