Max kept walking, not sure if he was able to hunt anymore.

Alita rolled over on the ground and groaned "i don't wanna huntttt.." she slowly sat back up and sarcastically yelled to no one "urgggggg, life is great!"

Still walking.

Alita decided to stop whining and put her boots on, ready to hunt now that she had yelled for a little bit. she started to walk through the woods and saw a familiar shadow walking as well "hey max!" she yelled and waved to him, jogging up to him and hoping that it actually was him.

Max glanced backwards when he heard someone yell his name. "Oh, hey, Alita," He said.

Alita caught up to him and smiled "Are you out hunting too?"

Max nodded. "Yep."

"Nice, you want to try to hunt together, or should i just meet you later?" Alita asked walking alongside him and watching for any deer.

"I can't come out again later, sorry," Max answered.

Alita looked at him confused and replied "why not? just meet me at the lake over there after you get a deer." she pointed to her left "see it?"

"I still can't, I'm sorry," Max answered.

Alita sighed and shook her head "you have no sense of adventure Max, why can't you come out later?"

"It's because of my family….." Max muttered.

"what about them?" Alita asked, not knowing if she was being to nosey "i mean, if they won't let you, just sneak out or tell them that you have to help me move stuff into my new house."

"That's what I did last time and they don't even know you," Max replied.

Alita sighed "well, i guess i just have to meet them then, after i get a deer of course." Aita smiled at him "i'll meet you at the edge of the woods at noon, ok?" She walked off, not waiting for a response or objections and climbed into her tree to wait for a deer.

"But-" Max started, quickly cutting himself off when Alita climbed into her tree. He sighed and climbed into his new tree to wait for a deer.

Alita smiled and sat on a branch, she soon was bored and started whittling on a small branch that she broke off. she spotted a deer in the distance and smiled, waiting for it to come closer.

Max spotted a deer in the distance and decided he would Alita have the deer. He would get the next deer.

Alita notched an arrow in her bow and sat silently, waiting for the deer to come close, it came under Max's tree and alita grinned, letting her arrow fly and hitting the deer head on.

Max watched the arrow flu and hit the deer head on, a small smile appeared on his face as he waited for Alita to come down from her tree and take the deer.

Alita cheered silently and jumped down from the tree. looking up at Max, she waved and walked over to her deer, waiting to gut it until max got one.

Max waved back and waited for a deer to come by.

Alita smiled and sat by the trunk of the tree that Max was sitting on, trying to be as quiet as possible.

A deer walked past and Max's tree and started running when it saw the other deer. Max quickly shot the deer right in the heart, then he jumped down, walked over to the deer and started gutting it.

Alita stood up and gutted her deer, wiping her knife off on her pants when she was done. She dragged the deer over to Max "nice deer," she commented and watched him gut it.

"Oh, um, thanks," Max muttered. He was terrible at taking compliments in any way. He quickly finished gutting his deer and wiped his knife on his pants then he stood up.

"alright, are we ready to go?" Alita picked up her deer and threw it over her shoulder because it was small enough that she could carry, smiling she looked at Max and blushed.

"Yep," Max answered. He threw his deer over his shoulder and headed towards his house, dreading of what they were going to say when they saw Alita.

Alita followed Max and kept thinking of what to say when she met his parents, worried that they wouldn't like her. she smiled to keep Max from worrying even though it was forced.
