"You think it pleases me to hurt anyone?" the villain looks absolutely shattered. "I hate it! But the world has made it very clear that that's what I must do. And if I'm already a monster, then…it may as well be me."
"You don't have to be. Monstrous is an adjective, not a noun." The hero took a careful step closer, eyes fixed on the villain. Amazed that someone so fragile could have caused so much harm.
"You're sweet." The villain mumbled. "I wish you wouldn't be."

So I kinda want this to turn into a romance eventually, with the hero trying to help the villain understand that just because the world sees them as a monster, it doesn't mean that they are. I will be the villain, and I would prefer this to be gay

(No, it's totally fine. I understand; everyone is entitled to their own opinions without judgement, as long as they are polite, like you are. That's one of the reasons why I appreciate you (I should really put you in the Chat of Appreciation, I'll have to remember to do that later.), it's because you take the time to voice your opinions in polite wording. And thanks for being willing to try again. I'll try not to let this die, and do the best I can. Just know that though I might be able to get replies up during school (Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm PST), that doesn't mean I'll be on for long. Our lunch period is only 30 minutes long, and I'm much more likely to be on more at home.)

Adrian stared at the hero across from him. "You think it makes me happy to hurt people?" He asked, voice cracking and looking far more vulnerable than the hero had ever seen him. "I don't! I hate it! But the world has made it very clear that I am a monster. And if that's what I already am…then I may as well fit the bill." He sounded on the edge of tears, his small, thin body looking so, so fragile.

Ronan glanced up, surprised. Was he hearing correctly? "Look, people can change. You just need to tell them that you've had a change of heart. I'll even help you!" If he was really telling the truth, it couldn't hurt to try to help. He sighed, and looked down. "No, you're not a monster," he started in a quiet voice. "And I'm not a hero, only a person who's come to save you…" Ronan trailed off. What was he saving him from again?
