He sighs and kisses his forehead. "Still… I should have protected you." He mumbles, shaking his head.
Sebastian shook his head as well. “You did. They ran. I’m fine.”
James shakes his head. "No you're not." He whispers softly. "I got the x-rays back." He looks at the other.
“It’s just- it’s a few broken ribs and bruises,” Sebastian reassured him. “I’m fine.”
James shakes his head and sighs. "Alright…" He kisses Sebastian gently.
Sebastian let out a little sigh and closed his eyes, doing his best to ignore the intense pain in his chest. “What time is it?”
James looks at his watch. "About 10 to five." He says quietly, kissing his hand.
“And how long have I been out?” he asked, brushing his fingers over James’s lips.
"A few hours." He says gently, kissing his cheek.
He groaned gently. "How long until I get out of here?"
"Soon. They'll probably release you tomorrow." He says gently. "And I'll be with you the whole way."
"Thank you.." he whispered, rubbing at his bloodshot eyes.
James nods and smiles a little. "Of course, love. You expect me to leave you alone? No can do."
Sebastian was fully content to lie there with James, but he forced himself to sit up, wincing in pain. “Thanks— ow— thanks darling.”
James freaks out. "Sebastian. Stay still. You're still injured." He says gently, trying to keep calm.
“I’m fine, don’t worry about me.” He stifled a gasp of pain, trying to stand up.
James shakes his head. "Sit down. Now. You are not moving." He growls, his eyes filled with both concern and something with a more demanding vibe.
Sebastian sighed and did as he was told, feeling oddly like a child who had just been chided. "Sorry."
James kisses his cheek. "Thank you. I don't want you getting hurt any more than you already have." He says softly.
Sebastian smiled, squeezing James's hand. "I'll be fine, you don't have to worry about me."
James sighs softly and kisses his hand. "Whatever you say, my love. But…" He looks down. I will always worry…
