(You're doing great bro)
Lars hit a button and the ramp door slowly opened. "Here." He said handing her a couple of smaller crates.
(Revival of the fittest)
Neku picked up a few crates. "Where we taking these?"
"To the dock, ding dong!"
"Oh yeah." Neku muttered, a bit embarrassed.
“It’s okay,” Victoria said kindly. “On my first job, I forgot to install the (random complicated machine part.)!”
"Oh my." Neku said, smiling.
“Yep,” Vic nodded. “It was a disaster.”
Lars laughed. "I remember that…." He slid down the ramp.
“And you won’t let me forget it,” Victoria said, shaking her head ruefully.
"I'm glad you are the mechanic. I could not handle a job like that." Neku said, following Lars.
“It’s simple for me. Fixing stuff is in my blood,” Victoria smiled.
Lars set the crate down and looked around. "Well this is gonna take awhile to navigate."
“Will I still have sightseeing time?” Victoria asked nervously.
"Yeah of course!" Lars reassured. "You can do that as we try and find our clients, I know how much you enjoy sightseeing."
“Thank you!” Victoria squealed, hugging her container to her chest. “I cannot wait to see the monument erected three hundred years ago in honor of the valiant soldiers who fought in the Lua Battle!”
Lars shook his head. "I'm sure I would be too if I knew what the heck that was." He sighed "Let's get going!"
Victoria sighed and followed Lars.
Lars led them through the milling crowd. Several people bumped into them. "Watch out for pick-pocketers Vick." He warned quietly.
“All I have are screws and marbles. Don’t ask,” Victoria said.
Lars chuckled. "I think you've lost your marbles. You might say you have a few screws loose…."
“Please, no more puns,” Victoria sighed.
Lars grinned. "You know me I can't help myself!" He paused. "I think they said they were on the west side."
“Okay.” Victoria started walking west.
It was awhile before they found the stall (especially since Victoria had to stop and look at several things). Lars frowned when he read the 'closed' sign. "They knew we were coming…"
“Ambush?” Victoria supplied. “Ooh, what if pirates are going to attack us?!”
Lars rolled his eyes. "That's a little dramatic Vick. Come on." He went around to the back.
“Well, you should read (book title) and see if it doesn’t scar you,” Victoria grumbled, following.
Lars pushed the swinging door open. No one. Not a single soul. In fact it looked like the place had been abandoned for several days. "Huh…"
