(Let me know when Emma's wanted/needed. :P)
I Wanna RP But I've Got Literally -3 Ideas
(yall can come in now, actually :P a flat is for multiple different people to share so were just cooking for everyone)
"Cool." Pulling out a cutting board, Nada grabbed the knife and the carrots, carrying them to the kitchen table. Augusta was most definetely sleeping upstairs, but nobody went to wake her up. She needed her rest to get better.
Emma walked into the flat, nervous about meeting her new flatmates. This was her first time living outside of her parents' house, so she didn't know what to expect when she knocked on the front door.
"Where is everyone?" Galen wondered aloud. "I thought they'd be back from the raid by now…"
"Maybe they were luckier than us and are slow because of all the deer they found." That's when Nada heard the door open and a girl walk in.
"Hello?"
Emma froze. There were already people here, and she was hoping that she'd be able to get there while they were all out. Oh, well, she thought, I'm here now.
Pasting on a small smile, she waved and said in a quiet voice, "Hi, um, I'm Emma. The- uh- new flatmate."
"Hi, Emma!" Nada whispered. "I'm Nada and this is my (friend?), Galen. Please be quieter. Our friend is sleeping upstairs. She's kind of sick. We were just making dinner, but I can give you a quick tour if you want."
A genuine smile crossed Emma's face when Nada greeted her warmly. Lowering her voice she agreed, "Yes, a tour would be great. Thank you."
"It's nothing. This is the kitchen, the main room, my bedroom, Galen's bedroom, and we can unfold the couch into a bed for you, if you don't mind." Nada explained.
Emma followed Nada around the flat, peeking into each of the rooms as she was shown them.
"That would be fine, thank you. I'm just glad to finally get out of my parents' house!" she exclaimed quietly.
(my RP if you want to join because nobody else will: https://www.notebook.ai/forum/roleplaying/i-guess-it-s-about-my-turn-to-start-an-rp#post_36825)
"Dinner's ready!" Galen called, grabbing three plates and setting them down at the table.
Nada went upstairs to wake up Augusta, and found her in bed, reading. "I'm happy to see you relaxing, but It's dinnertime. We have a new flatmate. She's really nice. You should come meet her." Augusta didn't say anything, but she was talking less and less ever since she got sick. Nada helped her down the stairs and into the kitchen, grabbing another plate from the drawer along the way.
"Grace first," Galen murmured. They were required to pray to Allah before every meal, and while no one was watching them at the moment, Galen felt it fitting. It gave them a bit of hope.
"For Augusta's health, for more deer tomorow, for our basic needs to be met, for good luck, for many more years of friendship, we thank you for bringing Ella into our lives, we thank you for the food in front of us…" "Amen." Finishing Grace, everyone dug in, even though there wasn't much to dig into.
"So, Ella, what brings you here?"
(Sorry, I had things to do, places to be.)
They pray to Allah? Ella thought as she sat down. Hm, that's different for me…
"So, Ella, what brings you here?" Galen asked her, shaking her from her thoughts.
"Oh, I just wanted to get out of my parents' house," she said, laughing gently. "Too crowded. You see, I have five brothers and four sisters, all younger than I am, so it can get pretty loud."
(sorry, i'm at school.)
Dinner finished all too quickly, nobody saying anything. It felt like they were waiting. For what, Nada didn't know. But after dinner, everyone moved to the main room, and just sat down. It was weird, and Nada couldn't stand the silence anymore, so she broke it with, "Augusta? Can you tell us a story? The one about the leevegrass?"
"Ooh! I love that one!" Galen settled down into his chair and sighed softly.
Augusta didn't say anything and Nada's hopes fell beyond the lowest floor of the apartment. Augusta didn't talk much, so why did Nada expect her to tell a story? "Let's go to sleep." Nada started helping her up the stairs and into her bed. "Goodnight." She whispered.
(hello?)
