(Ah maybe she could be in the penthouse?)

He growled softly yet didn't yap. Yet.

(Sure lol. Shard is such a sassy mofo)

“No.” She quickly went to the deli and started to choose

Shard growled again, opening his mouth slowly.

She shoved a tiny cube of cheese in his mouth “no.”

Shard gave a yap of shock and tumbled off of her shoulders, flailing and choking on the cheese.

“Oh stop, it is literally the size of my pinky nail” she snapped and picked him up. She picked out some more steak, chicken, deli meats, and cheese before going to get cereal and pasta

It turns out cheese blocks aren't that small and Shard continued genuinely choking on it.

She sighed and opened his mouth. She looked to see the tiny cube but couldn’t see it. “Don’t you have flames?” She wondered while patting his back to help him spit it out

Shard offered choking noises in response, his body convulsing to try and get it out. His tail swung wildly.

Sparrow performed a basic Hemlich and he spat it out.

Shard coughed a few times, his wings spread out at his sides. He glared up at her and snapped harshly.

She flicked his snoot “I fed you, you ungrateful thing!” She set him in the aisle and started walking away

Shard smacked his tail fiercely on the tiled ground and thundered after her, his wings still spread at his sides.

Sparrow saw him coming and turned around, ignoring him

Shard got down on his nubs and dug his teeth into her shoes, dragging along with her as she walked.

She stopped walking and picked him up “I have a feeling someone is sorry?” She said to him

Shard was firmly attached to her sneakers. He growled whenever she tried to pick him up.

She pulled out some deli meat “here, have expensive roast beef.” She said holding a price of smoked meat

Shard looked up and sniffed the container. He yapped and snatched it from out of her hand.

“NO! Shard come here!” She yelled again. Seeing as he wasn’t coming, she pretended to ignore him.

Shard growled at her and scampered off, taking her ignoring-ness as a goodbye.

Sparrow continued shopping and once she payed she realized that shard was t following her. “Shard? Come here! Come here Shard!”

There was distant yappings in response but no angry black dragon anywhere in sight.

“Shard! Come back! I’m sorry!” She said holding out more roast beef

More angry, far-off yaps. No dragon loping in sight, just a few people staring at her like she's insane.

“Shard!” Sparrow started walking around the small store until she came to a place where the yapping was the loudest

She found herself in the chip aisle. It sounded high up, but he wasn't anywhere in direct sight.

She looked up to see him on top of the shelf with a bag of chips “shard come on! It’s dinner time and I’m starving!”

Shard snarled down at her and started furiously chewing on a popped bag of chips. His chewing sent the chips scattering everywhere.

“Here look I got you steak!” She said raising it out of the bag for him to see
