Sophia sprinted down the street, grey sweater not nearly warm enough. She spotted a group of teens ahead of her, and hoped they wouldn’t think anything out of the ordinary of her.
Lau hurried after Sophia. "Where are we going?" she demanded, feeling too important to be left behind. "And what's chasing us?"
Sophia grabbed her hand, pulling Lau into an alleyway. “Get down.”, she hissed.

North spots a group of girls and lazily trots over to them as an ice horse.
Marya herded Dawn and Shaaru into the home, where Bakarne immediately gave her the stink eye. Marya drew in a breath.
"I did what I had to do. Fish-boy knows too much."
"Shaaru. Not Fish-boy." He muttered.
Bakarne nodded. "Should we kill him or keep him in the cell?"
"What if he has a family? I vote kill. We can pass it off as one of Aleksai's tricks if Shaaru has a family."
"But I hate getting blood on my hands. I want cell."
Marya groaned, "This is all Dawn's fault."
Shaaru snarled at the words kill and cell. "NO! No killing or celling."
