“Seriously. You’ll be safe here,” Carter said, gesturing inside.
She raises both brows and reverses three more steps
Carter sighed. “You can come in when you’re ready, I guess…. though why you’d seek us out and then not come in, I don’t understand….”
"So. How long have you been a magician?"
“Random question, but okay. And I suppose the answer would be: it depends on your point of view,” Carter replied.
"Makes sense." Ben said. "Which god do you follow?"

"No. I follow Thoth." Ben said, proudly.
“Nice!” Carter said, holding up a hand for a high-five like the dork he was. “I’ve had some pretty wierd experiences with that guy. His lab coat is strange.”

“So. Are you planning to come in? I’d really like to close this door. My arm’s getting tired,” Carter grinned.
Nebula sighs, takes a step then backs then another then backs up two more. She repeats the process a few times then finally bites her lips and literally runs into the house.

“Whelp,” Carter said, looking after Nebula’s retreating form (moving into the house.) “Is there a story there….?” He gestured after her, but was speaking to Ben.
"Carter?"Sadie called. she had gone inside with the cat. the cat who was currently chasing Philip of Macedonia and who, for some reason, wouldn't turn back into a human "who is it?"

Nebula yelps and jumps away from the blond, "Im sorry!" She then straightened feeling very embarrassed, "Now I really am sorry. Im Nebula." She tried to cover her accent as best she could
"hi. anyway, cater do you know where bast is?" Sadie inquired,"don't say she's taking another cat-nap"
Carter sighed. “You know thats my default answer.
Nebula snorts, "Isnt Bast a goddess? Why would a god be here?"
“Long story,” Carter sighed.
She raises a brow but shrugs and slinks farther into the room.
“You ay as well be Bast, sneaking around everywhere,” Carter muttered.
