Killer soulmates RP (CLOSED 8/8)

Everyone is intrigued to find their soulmate, but also nervous. Whatever injuries you suffer your soulmate can feel, and whenever you feel strong emotions your soulmate can feel them as well. Those are the only cryptic clues that you get for the first seventeen years of your life. Then, when you turn eighteen, you finally get one last clue—the first words they say to you. They appear on your arm like a tattoo, and they only stay there for your eighteenth birthday, though it would be nigh on impossible to forget them. Some people could go forever without knowing, and for some the curiosity is too great. Now a new, dangerous development has taken place. A mutation that no one knows where it came from. If you don’t find your soulmate by your nineteenth birthday, you die. It isn’t literally life and death now. The race has begun.

So basically, we’re all going to be kids looking for their soulmates.

Personality: quiet, bookworm, antisocial, and energetic too. she also loves to go on trail runs and read
Backstory: her mom has been pestering her since she was five to find her soulmate and she hasn't found them yet, her mom is so worried that she has not talked to her since her 18th birthday which was a month ago.

Appearance: Chest length slightly wavy chocolate brown hair that is a little lighter at the ends (she dyed it a long time ago and it’s mostly grown out), a smattering of freckles, fair skin, and dark brown almond shaped eyes. She is 5’ 4” and is on the verge of being in shape (she does theatre but no sports or anything). She has two ear piercings and has an average sized nose and lips. She smiles a lot. She likes to wear crop tops or t-shirts with shorts when it’s warm and sweaters with jeans when it’s cold. Her favorite shoes are her beat up red converse, which she always wears.
Personality: She’s nice and fairly outgoing. She loves singing and everything theatre related. She can be funny at times but some of her jokes fall flat. Audrey is pretty social and upbeat, at least on the outside. She is self-conscious a lot and worries about her appearance, which some people take as being shallow. She is a people pleaser and likes to be liked. She loves meeting new people and being creative. She can be a bit much at times though.
Backstory: Audrey is the adoptive daughter of Millicent and Lindsay Johnson-Burns. Both of her moms are very loving and worried about her finding a soulmate. They try to help her, and can be a bit overbearing at times (much like Audrey herself) though they only want what’s best for her. Audrey tries to meet as many people as possible in hopes of finding her soulmate. They even moved from a small town in California to a bigger city in hopes of meeting her soulmate there.

Appearance: black hair that's kinda a mess but also tamed at the same time, big sea green eyes with golden flecks, pale, 6'2, fairly muscular build/defined muscles even though he doesn't work out that often, generally wears jeans and a plain shirt although loves to wear NASA t-shirts, glasses for reading and close up activities which are black framed with some silver marking along the side. Many, many scars line his back so he doesn't go swimming or do any things which would require it to be off.
Personality: kind hearted, caring and loyal to his friends and people he holds dear to him, can be a little over protective at time but tries not to be, sarcastic at times or when he's angry or upset, the former doesn't happen very often and he tries to ignore the latter.
Backstory: Abusive father and his mother left him and the family when James was little so he never knew he but dislikes her for leaving him with his dad. Family life as such isn't great and tries his best to not go home as much as possible so he doesn't have to deal with his dad and his girlfriend who, also takes pride in her boyfriend abusing his son. James hates them both and wants to leave as soon as possible.

Appearance: 6’5” slender figure with black hair and hazel eyes, bit of a chiseled face and has a nip missing out of the top of his left ear so it kinda looks like and elf ear.
Personality: INTP, loyal but comes off as a bit of a douche, though he doesn’t mean it. Also is extroverted around people he trusts, less so around unknown people.
Backstory: After losing both of his parents and most of his friends, Kristofer was always a loner, he refused to believe that he would ever find a soulmate to the point where he started cutting himself. Not for attention but in hopes that the tattoo wouldn’t show up.
Other: is missing his right eye and has a lot of self inflicted cuts on his arms. Also he has a voice in his head he named Charles.

Appearance: Juniper has dark curly hair falling to just under her shoulders. She stands at 5'6" with a latte colored skin. She has hazel puppy dog eyes and a dainty nose with thin lips. She usually wears crop tops or tube tops with shorts in warm weather, or ripped jeans and sweater in colder weather. She often has her hair pulled back in a high ponytail, her curls always making her hair look floofy.

Personality: Juniper is usually very hyper and energetic, almost always smiling. Yet she always seems to distance herself away from everybody, having a fear they will "leave" or stop being her friend like her first friend group had. Yet she always is happy, finding comfort in music and writing.

Backstory: Juniper's parents had divorced at a young age, June only being 5 or 6. Her mother moved out of town, but she would go visit every two weeks until she was 12 and her mother was diagnosed with cancer. By the time June was 16 her mother was gone, and her old friends had stopped talking to her. Finally having moved out of her dads into her own small apartment she is trying to keep her promise to her mother that she would find her soulmate, and stay happy. That is what she intends to do, though things look tough. Who knows.
