"I can't stay here Cicada, you dont understand , I dont belong here. I am not this type of personand excuse me I didnt ask to have the weight of the world on my shoulders. I dont want this life. I want to go back to my normal life." She pleaded.

"I understand," Cicada stepped towards her, "I never asked for the Everflame to choose me, but it did. I don't understand why the king included you, but you have to stay. Please."

Sydney sat on a bed trying to stem the bleeding on her arm while Lightning prowled the room growling. "It wasn't their fault Lightning. I'll be fine." Lightning growled again. "It's not as bad as it looks."

"No problem," Cicada responded. She returned to her own room, flopped on the bed, and was out like a light.
