Kingdom Roleplay
(Of course!)
The marketplace was always busy this time of day, so Lloyd at least had something to watch. He saw a man haggling with a shopkeeper to lower the prices on some fruit, children who were none too happy to have been dragged along with their mothers on errands, everything. Few people noticed the silent castle guards, but occasionally someone would come by and start talking to their friend about them, nothing too serious.
As Tanrial walked up to the booth and paid for some black fabric, she noticed one squire. He looked uncomfortable but she could use her magic to find out why. As she left she glanced back at the blonde haired girl and went down a deserted ally way for some privacy
Watching as the hooded woman left, Maybelle decided to go to the stall next door that was selling apples, and she bought a bunch to feed to her horse. However, as she was walking back to her home, she gave the apples to some small children who seemed very hungry. She continued on her way home, with her roll of fabric and empty sack of apples.
Lloyd watched as people came and went, wondering where they were going. He came up with many random scenarios in his head that could be any of these people's situation. Long hours on guard duty quickly got tedious, monotonous, and boring. He had to find some way to amuse himself, or at least to pass the time.
Tanrial went a little ways down the ally and turned her back to the entramce, she sprouted a small blue flame and it showed her house. At least that was safe. She went back down the ally and saw the girl handing apples to the children. Tanrial followed her.
As Maybelle walked over the rocky bridge that led her home, she heard footsteps behind her. Whirling around, she caught sight of the hooded woman she had seen earlier. "Who are you?" She asked warily.
Tanrial stopped in her tracks. She lowered her hood to reveal her black wavy hair, and piercing dark blue eyes. She kept her head lowered slightly, “I’m sorry if I scared you but I just wanted to tell you that you are very beautiful. My name is Tanrial.” She bowed slightly, not knowing if she was royal or part of that household.
Taken aback by Tanrial's own beauty and kind words, Maybelle began to stumble over her words. "Oh, um, no need to bow. Uh, you're very, you're very beautiful as well, Tanrial." Meaning what she said, Maybelle took a step closer to Tanrial. "So, how do you do?"
Tanrial gave a small smile, “I’m doing well, thank you. But may I ask, what might be your name?” Tanrial noticed that the girl stumbled over her words but didn’t comment on it as the girl took a step closer.
//hi! Can mark be tanrial’s companion?
*mari
"Oh, yeah, my name. Maybelle-Anne. But forget the Anne, just Maybelle. Yeah." She winced at her own stupidity and how foolish she sounded.
(Yeah!)
Tanrial giggled slightly and thought about how lucky she was to have come to the markets on this particular day. “It’s nice to meet you Maybelle.”
Regaining her original composure, Maybelle smiled back. "Nice to meet you, too, Tanrial."
Mari poked Tanrial’s neck, wanting to be introduced.
“Ow. Sorry, yes, um… well there is someone else who wants to say hello.” Tanrial felt Mari come stand on her shoulder, “Maybelle, meet Mari.”
Maybelle smiled. "Why hello there! I didn't notice you there, Mari." Maybelle noticed how her greenish skin made her blue eyes stand out. "Well, it's nice to meet you as well."
“You’re not… scared, confused?” Tanrial was now very confused why she wasn’t scared. “Most people would have run away by now.” Tanrial mumbled.
“Mari chirped a little, almostmlike a bird and waved at Maybelle.
"Run away? From a cute fairy?" Maybelle waved back to Mari, but couldn't understand why people would run away. Their world was full of magic, and even though this was Maybelle's first encounter with some, it was exciting and made her want to understand it. "Maybe I'm not like other people?" She laughed.
( I gtg for a bit, but I'll be back in about an hour)
Tanrial gave a breathy laugh, “I guess you aren’t. But neither am I.” Tanrial bit her lip nervously.
(Ok, I don’t know when I will next be on today, in a couple hours though)
Lloyd's shift finally ended and he left his post, replaced by another squire. He nodded respectfully before leaving, wandering aimlessly in the marketplace.
The armor was still pressing against Lloyd's wings uncomfortably, so he took off the top layer, hoping that the chainmail underneath would be enough to conceal his wings.
(Tanrial is a mage but yeah they could know each other, also Mari Is Tanrial’s companion. Ashera could meet Maybelle and Tanrial in the forest, same with Lloyd is you want to?)
Tanrial shifted uncomfortably on her feet waiting for Maybelle to reply.
(Yeah sure)
Lloyd walked into the forest. It was a calm, quiet place, and it helped him unwind when he was anxious. He went quietly through the trees, appreciating the natural silence.
(Yeah, that's a good idea :) I'll just start over with my character then)
Ashera flitted around her home in the forest, attempting to finish her spring cleaning but she kept getting distracted with the things she found that she thought she'd lost long ago.
