"Mom! Leave the poor child alone!" Jackson smirks, ducking out of the way.

"Huh?" Ms. Persagati stops.
Jordan was confused. He knew his mother would never hurt him. In fact, throwing things like that was her way of a funny sort of discipline.

"Let him rest please," she said, feeling like she'd ruined something.

Jackson comes into the room, taking the spoon from his mothers hand.
